What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Monsters Inc is better than Game of Thrones.

There are too many characters on screen in Monsters Inc. I stopped watching it about 2 minutes from the credits because I lost interest.

Father of the Pride though, great CGI animated tv show because its more episodic.

Full House episodes aren't mini movies of Full House, they're a tv series.

Made by ABC, or CBS. Not a movie channel.

You don't really want to continue to pursue the argument that "HBO shows are basically mini-movies because they air on a channel that shows a lot of movies and have big budgets", do you? I know that's what you are staking your critique of my own argument on, but that logic must seem obviously ridiculous to you by this point, right?

But HBO shows are. Boardwalk Empire costs 7 to 10 million an episode and Game of Thrones is 6 million, compared to something like Burn Notice that was 1 to 2, or Once Upon a Time which weighs in at 3-4 million an episode. Double the budget, double the production time = mini movie.

Its not nearly as ridiculous as "i got confuzzled by a kids book movie and its too long. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm about to sit down and watch hour 45 of my multiple-story-arc TV show."

But they are still TV shows. They air ON TV. They are produced as episodes in seasons and are WRITTEN and DIRECTED as such.

Again, slapping together episodes of GoT or Sopranos or Deadwood or Curb Your Enthusiasm does not a movie make.

So....AMC shows like TWD are mini movies? I mean, it's called The American Movie channel and mostly shows movies. Same with MAD MEN.
