Game & Wario Experiences So Far

Post by BogusMeatFactory »

So I have been playing a bunch of Game & Wario (so hard not to type WarioWare) and I have been enjoying it a lot. The game has a series of 12 mini games to play with a slew of unlockable experiments, I say experiments, because a lot of what you experience is far beyond anything you can justify as a game.

You are tasked with making ocean wave sound effects by shaking beans in a box and listening to various characters talk via phone numbers, much like the children's phone toys, but far more disturbing. This game is absurd beyond all reason, giving it even more reason to be experienced at least as a rental. I have been spending the past three hours putting together patches of cloth into designs, fending off a robot wario invasion, playing a deranged CrazyTaxi/Independence Day mashup and partaking in a Words With Friends style Miiverse game, drawing suggestions from the game and from other players.

There is a lot to do, but there is a lot of novelty. I haven't delved into the multi-player games just yet, as my wife is working today, but after that we will be putting some hard-earned time into it.

Overall, the verdict is still out on whether to own this game or not. The key tipping point is the multiplayer. Everything else seems very novel, but is filled with such humor and charm that it is practically overflowing with it.

Anyone else been playing it?

Man, I love WarioWare. Really underrated pick-up-and-play game. All of these new games coming out and I don't have a Wii U or a 3DS :( .

I wouldn't necessarily say that this game sells the system, as it is really is a lot of superficial mini-games. The game still has some of the most deranged and psychotic works of art and animation that makes it worth an experience.

September is when the big hit comes. That is when Rayman, Wonderful 101 and more come out....will be such a great time to be a WiiU owner.
