Yeah I went to Wikipedia and looked. (I don't have a Kinect). I guess I kinda remember it after reading about it, but really the whole Harry Potter movie series - despite having a few well made films as part of it - was generally so convoluted an uninteresting that I've forgotten much of it. Its not convoluted. It's young adult fiction, not a CHILTON car manual. The story is pretty straight forward, and you garner a better appreciation for characters if you read the books.dsheinem wrote: was generally so convoluted

I get why people like the Potter series, it just couldn't hold my interest. In all honesty, I can't think of any series of books or films that tell one story over so many installments that ever have. It's just too much.

There's 7 books, not 85. Each book represents a year in his what is basically Jr High and Highschool. It truly isn't a convoluted story. I've not read the books, but I know what I'm talking about as regards the films. There are 8 of them. That is far too many films to tell what is essentially one long story. I can't think of any other film series that does this, as even long running horror franchises are much more episodic in nature (as is the TV show Game of Thrones, obviously). As a film series, I felt the story has too many things shoehorned into it for the purposes of extending the series, the characters were largely flat, and the outcomes were always predictable or meh.indecks wrote:There's 7 books, not 85. Maybe the books are a different thing, but in all honesty I can't recall any book series I've read that is longer than 3-4 books (with the exception of the short Narnia series).

I know I sound like I'm harping on you but this just doesn't make any sense. well apparently i forgot a major plot point from part 6, so yeah...i probably lost interest after 4 or so and everything after was just me trying my best to stick it out.
