So I had a super scary and stressful week, but now that we have a diagnosis by the wonderful people at Children's Hospital and a treatment plan, we're back home. I've had just a rough month or two. It's funny how, Charlotte's eye surgery seemed so scary at the time, but doesn't even compare to this, jeesh.
Damn, I'm sorry. Do you know if it is primary or secondary HLH?

Oops, sorry forgot to mention, that thankfully it is secondary and not familial (hereditary).

Well, thank goodness for the little things I suppose. That still sucks, but I'm glad it's not the primary form.

:D Tomorrow is my assessment at work. It's four hour long, and then I work as an actual custodian for two more hours. I've also got hours on Thursday and Friday and then Monday through Wednesday next week, and that also means I have July 4th off.

:) So far all my days start as early as noon to as late as 3:30, so I can sleep in most days, but there's also the fact that...

:( My shifts end between 8 and 9:30, which means a lot of my shifts extend to after-hours work.

:) But this also means that for the most part I will work during the cooler parts of the day.

:?: Hope I don't have to work on my birthday. I heard that The Enzian is playing Spinal Tap on my birthday and I kinda wanna see it. After all we've been through, I deserve this.

And all of it is wrong. Take it from a New Yorker. Not just me, who's only lived here a few years. Come talk to my brother, who was born here, grew up here, and lived here all his life.

Was this before or after Giuliani left office? It's a much safer city now, so long as you're not out in Jamaica or certain areas of the Bronx. Bad things can still happen in any area, but it's much less likely. For it's population, New York is actually relatively safe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Sta ... crime_rate

PS - what are the good retro game shops here in Orlando?

@Stark:Man, that sucks. Best of luck.

:( Looks like we may have to wait until the weekend to finish watching the Harry Potter movies. My daughter did really well with the first few, but the past couple nights she's been going crazy while we're trying to watch them. I can't blame her, she's not even two yet and I'm sure sitting around for two hours every night for the past week hasn't been very fun for her.

:D I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying the Harry Potter films. I've never read the books, but may get into them as I'm certain they're leaving a lot of stuff out (there's only so much you can cram in a movie without it getting long or boring). We're on the last two movies and I'll be kinda sad once we've finished them.

:( The SNES emulator on my PSP is really slow even when overclocked. I can't even play Super Mario Bros. I'm going to look for another one when I get home.

:D Lots of sleep today. Finally feel rested and my brain is actually (half)functioning at work.

Ticked - The ladies in the department next to mine are loudly discussion Kim Kardashins child's name. The child is named North, and her father is Kanye West

Smile - they stopped talking about it after I suggested that the child will only have to deal with it for the next six months.
