Anyone Else Excited for the New Donkey Kong?
So how about it? I loooooved the last one. By far my favorite wii game. Retro did one hell of a job and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
Here's the e3 trailer in case you didn't see it:

Its going to be a great game and is worthy of some discussion. Haters can simply not comment.

It looks good. There's a lot to look forward to that's in it. It does look like it's doing a lot of different stuff from the one on Wii.
I'm not really excited to play it, though. I'll get it, it'll be played at some point, but it's nothing I'm chomping at the bit for.
I do find myself feeling pretty excited to play Super Mario 3D World, though.

I'm sure prfsnl_gmr was dead serious in his post. He completely intended to represent everyone.MulishaSoldier929 wrote:Nice of you to speak for everyone on here.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Nope. No one is excited for this.

He is a lawyer after all, representing people is what he does.

Yep. He's also right, which means you are not included in the group and hence and un-person.

I was just kidding. There is no point in derailing the thread. The game does look good - and I am sure that Nintendo will guarantee its quality - but I still have not played all the way through my copy of DKCR on the Wii. Accordingly, I am not sure I will pick this up until I have finished its predecessor.

I see what your saying. The new features and the fact that Retro does a heck of a job are really what has me excited. Glad they are bringing back the under water segments that Returns was lacking and replacing the "blowing" flowers move with being able to pull cords which makes more sense to me anyways.Cronozilla wrote:It looks good. Yeah pretty stoked for mario 3d also. I loved galaxy but I am glad they are going a different direction. A third galaxy game would probably be the tipping point.

Looks neat. Guaranteed to have better controls than the Wii version.

Re: Anyone Else Excited for the New Donkey Kong?
I have never had interest in the Donkey Kong Country series at all, including the Super Nintendo iterations. I did not feel the magic and charm from the game as I experienced it only recently.
Donkey Kong Country Returns was pretty entertaining, but nothing that jumped out at me as a unique and engaging experience. It just felt like a solid platformer. I am definitely going to sit this one out unless my wife forced me to get it, since she is a huge fan. I just don't feel it. I really don't know why.
