What was the last movie you've seen?

Your problem is that you need to lower your standards. Movies are supposed to suck and you need to find the hidden joy in the movie for yourself, on your own.

I feel like maybe I should resume doing movie reviews again so (especially newer) people can see what I do actually like and why. I removed the link from my sig some time ago when I stopped updating, but I do actually quite like a lot of films.

Wow, 2010 was when you created that list, back when there were about 1000 fewer pages in this thread. Good job, Ds. Oh, and since you rated Holy Mountain so highly, I wonder if you would check out El Topo some time.

I have had it in the set for a couple of years now, I just haven't found a good chunk of time to watch it. Maybe this week :)

Anyone interested in seeing Elysium? It's a film I'm looking forward to, as I enjoyed District 9. I enjoy Blomkamp's style of directing, that and he didn't oversaturate the narrative of District 9.

I (of course) didn't like District 9 (review at link above), but I am very interested in this one. Hoping it is better...
