US active Saturn modders?

Post by theclaw »

Curious who's left in the biz here. I know some people have moved on recently.
At minimum I'll want a region switch or similar.

Stuff like rates and work quality are worth mentioning of course.

I can do them, but I usually only work locally as I hate shipping consoles. Someone on here has a thread with really good rates, cheaper than I'd be willing to work for, but I can't find it offhand.

Edit, looks like that was ApolloBoy, and he's closing up shop. I can do a US/J region switch, but honestly, I just use the 4-in-1 action replay carts at this point. I haven't bothered to do a hard wired switch in close to 10 years. By the time you paid to ship it both ways, and parts/labor, you'd probably be better off with the cart unless you're really against it or have to play one of the games with its own add-on cart (I don't even remember what game(s) qualify).

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Well hmm. My current system is J, but I have the save memory guzzling US Dragon Force.

Ugh... I had it done on UG so I can't check my PMs anymore.... I know Atreyu187 did my mod chip install (and recap, and laser replacement, for the price of a Genesis... threw those last 2 in for free, nice guy)

As to region switch, I can't remember who did mine, but I had a region free bios replacement put in rather than muck around with switches. I haven't run into any compatibility issues yet.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

True. That'd leave simply getting correct speed in the fussy PAL exclusives.
I've got XRGB mini.

That region free bios looks nice.

Willing to bet a lot of people over on neo-geo.com could do that for a reasonable price. I think having a soldering iron is a prereq for signing up

Not to go offtopic, but is UG dead?
