Missed work yesterday. I felt absolutely dreadful, and I'm sure the lack of sleep didn't help. So sick of all the laughter and loud music coming from the pool. Bah humbug.
Only a few days left until Vacation. We're taking my daughter to the Zoo, Aquarium and Insectarium for the first time. Can't wait to see how excited she gets when she gets to see all these things in real life.
I went with my sister and her 2 kids to the aquarium a year ago. It is interesting, but probably only worth going once. Though I am sure I will take my daughter at some point when she is older.
Avoid the restaurant, it is overpriced and I hear the food isn't all that good either.
We're going to go back to Louisiana for vacation, so he means the ones in New Orleans. The advice to avoid the restaurant is still valid though. If I remember correctly, the hot dogs looked like they should have had their own enclosure.
For some reason, my toddler is in hyper drive tonight. No matter what I do, she will not go to sleep. Even "Mario and Kitty" can't get her to sleep. The poor baby has bags under her eyes and is loopy, but refuses to go down. We've been playing some Legend of Zelda: A link to the past on the SNES, and she is getting frustrated at Link and demanding him to 'GO!' when I don't move him. If I try to put the controller down she gets upset.
I have errands to run tomorrow, and I have to wake up at 9 to let Jinx in. It's going to be rough.

Over the past few weeks I have picked up quite a few Atari 2600 games and in that time period weird things have also started occasionally happening around my house. Most specifically around the games lol. About two weeks ago after picking up 4 or 5 games I put them in my closet with the rest of my Atari collection in their nice little cardboard trays . That same night while my mom and I were watching TV we started hearing weird noises from the closet kind of sounded like a animal running around inside and I made the joke that I probably had a dead kids atari games. Of course there was nothing in there and I just blew it off as regular house noises occasionally the house does make weird sounds. Although this noise lasted a solid 10 minutes and stopped after i opened the door .
So over the past few days there have been multiple cases where my mom or myself have heard someone calling us from across the house and mistakenly hollered back at one another . The usual "what did you want I heard you call me" crap. Nothing to exciting but enough to spook my mom a bit.
Well none of that has really bothered me up until tonight . About 20 minutes ago around 12:30 am I was finishing packaging some stuff I sold so I was walking back and forth from the kitchen to my computer room to print labels. Well as I came out of the computer room I heard someone loudly whisper my name and felt the always lovely sensation you get when someone is right behind you. So I turned around expecting it to be my mom who had just gone to bed and told me not to stay up to much later but.... nobody was there.
Part of me finds it cool that my Atari collection may be haunted, but another part of me is kind of pissed that I made the dead kid joke and possibly pissed it off lol.
See, what you'll need to do is to get a box of matches and wander around your house at night collecting pieces of an urn. Once you complete it the first time, do it again, but start releasing bats into your house to mess with you while you do this. After about 10 rounds or so, you should have cleared Haunted House and appeased the 2600's ghost.
Went to Dave & Busters and stumbled upon what might be the greatest arcade cab in circulation; Pac Man Royal Rumble. [4 Pac-Mans 4 Ghost all pit against each other in a battle to see which (colored) Pac-man is the best.]
Had lots of fun playing it, and as we got louder because of the increasing difficulty of the levels and just the nature of the competition more people crowded us and wanted to play the classic game with a refreshing new twist.
Retro Games FTW!!

You can't even pronounce "RPG" or "FPS" like you can "Shmup"

"Shmup" is far more elegant!

Dood, I love these style Pac-Man games! Pac-Man CE is one of my favorites, and I finally get to try Pac-Man VS. next week. This seems really neat, and makes me sad that there's no Dave & Busters back home. I would have loved to kick my dad's butt at this.
Smile: Got back from an FFA leadership camp thing I got sent into. It was decently fun, and I met a couple of great people through it. I was also happy to get to see our Area's state candidate. She's a lot of fun and a great person- though I sadly have a bit of a crush on her.
