No, but I'm sure the proprietary format keeps the higher ups happy.CavZee wrote:They should really just make a new model that accepts SD cards. Is a proprietary memory card format really going to thwart pirates much at all?

Older. Not wiser.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
I've read it somewhere that it was the speed of those memory cards that is why they are so high. To do something equivalent with SD cards it would need to be Class 10. This could be unfounded rumor for all I know though.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:No, but I'm sure the proprietary format keeps the higher ups happy.CavZee wrote:They should really just make a new model that accepts SD cards. Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

A 32GB class 10 is $20-25 on Amazon or at BestBuy. But there are different grades of class 10. I see SanDisk ones ranging from 30MBps - 60MBps all labeled as Class 10. but I am not expert on this sort of thing. Maybe someone else has better input.Stark wrote:I've read it somewhere that it was the speed of those memory cards that is why they are so high. Yeah, I'm no expert either and I think the price range was more in the same price range at the Vita's launch.ZenErik wrote:A 32GB class 10 is $20-25 on Amazon or at BestBuy. Re: Playstation Vita thread
Sony is making it a point to support indie devs so I can really see this being a fantastic time to own the Vita. A port of LIMBO was made available and I just picked it up. I already have it for XBLA but the game on that screen in a portable format is great.
I agree that the card prices should be lower. It's ridiculous really. I have an 8GB and refuse to buy a bigger card. Until they drop the prices I won't buy anything digital.

Can't wait! Snapped up a limited edition as soon as it was announced.

If I already have the Wii version, what's the main incentive to consider this one?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Muramasa Rebirth in a couple of days!

Better translation. And some DLC chapters available, though no one's sure how those will turn out; they aren't even out in Japan yet.dsheinem wrote:If I already have the Wii version, what's the main incentive to consider this one?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Muramasa Rebirth in a couple of days!

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Also better controls, four new playable characters, presumably trophy support, and a collector's edition package, if you're into that sort of thing
Supposedly this is supposed to be a "complete" version of the game
