Which course was that Star Fox clear on?

As for counting compilation-style games, I'd agree that it's up to the player. I prefer seeing a credits or "congratuations/congraturation" screen myself.

generally, that's my definition too. But many early games had no such thing. You'd never say you beat an Atari 2600 game?

You gotta go for 100% ALL stages in Starfox. Challenging, but fun. I've done it on all courses. Maxing out laser power ups in mandatory. I like Starfox's scoring system, it just requires you to shoot every enemy. Starfox 64 had a more annoying system since killing every enemy was impossible on some levels. So you had to do weird scoring tricks like the bomb trick to get the high scores for the stage medals. The 3DS version made things more annoying by adding in even higher scores to shoot for

I like simplicity and the original Starfox had a simpler system

5. Columns (DC)
6. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (DC)
7. Capcom Vs. SNK (DC)
8. ChuChu Rocket (DC)
9. Nightwarriors Darkstalkers' Revenge (Sat)
10. Half-Life (DC)
11. Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Sat)
12. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Sat)
13. Dead or Alive 5 (PS3)
14. Final Fantasy (PSP)
15. Lollipop Chainsaw (360)
16. Vampire Resurrection (PS3)
17. Boxing (PS2)

19. Ice Hockey (PS2)

^Activision Anthology... what a brilliant fucking game Ice Hockey is! Wow. I feel like Racing The Beam only makes me enjoy 2600 games even more. But what a brilliant piece of code - the way the bottom half and top half of the screen are split into action and 'frozen.' And the AI is very tough, but fair. Really enjoyed this one for a while and was yelling at the TV set no different than when I play NHL 06.

Games Beaten 2013
1. BF3(PC)
2. Driver San Fransisco(PC)
3. Inversion(PC)
4. Xcom Enemy Unknown(PC)
5. Lord of the Rings War In the North(PC)
6. Deponia(PC)
7. Medal of Honor(PC)
8. Medal of Honor: Warfigther(PC) AKA Door Breach SIM 2012
9. Kingdom Hearts(PS2) 5/26/13
10. Where's Waldo(NES) 6/2/13
11. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3(360) 6/16/13
12. Airlock(Atari 2600) 6/20/13

Was play testing it for a pending sale and ended up throwing a good 20-30 minutes or so into it. It isn't a very long game or that complex but it was very entertaining and addictive for what it was. After I got the hang of the first floor and figured out wth was killing me I managed to finish it pretty quickly. My main problem was they give you like 50 seconds to finish the game and every 10 seconds a level of the sub floods completely. Well if your on the bottom level you just die instantly once the first 10 seconds is up with no animation or anything so I kept getting pissed thinking I was hiting some sort of random death bug :P. The way things go you maybe get 1-2 screw ups for the entire 5 levels and the first level in my opinion is the hardest since they start you out in a awkward position which requires you to run an especially long distance to move up to the next level.

Here is a video to give you an idea of what it's like. Needless to say the game is pretty harsh about how you jump over blocks and hitting the crab or whatever it is on the first level basically ensures a slow death by drowning :P.

Ah. Good percentages then. Stage 1 isn't too difficult to get 100% on.

Some 2600 games did have endings. I remember Ghost Manor and Spikes Peak on the same double ended cartridge did. Did any Activision games have endings? Probably not. I've got 2 ports of the Anthology as well as many of those original cartridges. I'd have a huge list if I put every Activision game I patched in this year

Haven't really spent a ton of time playing through my atari collection yet but about the only one I have run into with a "ending" would be airlock. The whole game lasts a total of 50 seconds though lol.

Here is the ending. That is one happy little pixelated man.
