I'd probably consider putting together a vest/jacket if I went out to more shows. Maybe that'll change...

Yeah I'd love one if I could wear it to shows... but there are no shows in my area. I'll stick to t-shirts.

I don't think I'd ever be a vest guy. In high school I wore a jacket with a lot of metal patches and pins on it though. I had it all throughout high school and then some, and that thing became the dingiest, dankest thing ever. Covered with stains and cigarette burns, smelled like a combination of ass and beer no matter how many washes, it was like 3 sizes too big for me, it was so nasty looking back. The sleeves on it looked really cool though. Was mostly just patches of bands I didn't even really listen to much after I began to expand my horizons but was all I could find locally, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, stuff like that.

Clearly you have never heard any Pony Death Metal. It does exist, and I do know a guy who listens to it. I make fun of him constantly.

Anyway, I never went the vest or jacket route. I wore a trenchcoat all through high school and never wanted to add patches to it. My backpack might have benefited from a few, but by the end of school that sucker was being held together with safety pins and duct tape, so it would have been a waste.

Gotta love it when bands make up fake new genres for themselves. "We don't play black metal, we play anti-cosmic timewarp metal! So what if it sounds exactly like black metal it's DIFFERENT MAN!"

Genres kinda cease to be useful when only one band fits a given genre.

Haha yeah.

I remember when Bethlehem used to call themselves "dark metal" - which initially sounded like bullshit but then evolved into a legitimate subgenre.
