I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
Re: good deal?
You sir get bonus points for mentioning Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
As for games not on the aforementioned list:
Star Fox (this was uber graphics back in the day, and is a decent rail shooter regardless)
Super Mario Kart
Super Castlevania IV
Earthbound (shame on you for not including it on a list of RPGs)
Mega Man X 1-3
Donkey Kong Country 1-3
And more entries in the land of importing:
Fire Emblem 4-5
Seiken Densetsu 3
Front Mission

Re: good deal?
Where is the love for Street Fighter II Turbo? Why has no one mentioned Killer Instinct? What's this lack of Street Fighter Alpha 2? No Samurai Shodown? No World Heroes 2? No Fatal Fury Special?
I DON'T CARE IF THEY'RE BAD PORTS, THEY'RE STILL DAMN GOOD GAMES!
Oh, and if you like GameBoy games, a Super Game Boy is always a welcome addition.
And don't forget Shaq Fu....nah, I'm kiddin'. Or am I?

I knew I was forgetting something. You also can't go wrong with Mortal Kombat II. It was toasty.Ack wrote:Where is the love for Street Fighter II Turbo? Why has no one mentioned Killer Instinct?
Oh! I just remembered another great game. NBA Jam, especially if you knew the turbo code.

Re: good deal?
I'm about to lose those bonus points by saying that I don't care a hill of beans for Earthbound. The game plays like a bad Monty Python skit. I'm actually currently playing the original Earthbound (or should I say Mother) on an NES emulator and enjoying it a lot more than the SNES sequel, but I have to say it is also wearing on my patience. Not so much because it seems like it was translated by Working Designs on one of their off days (some would argue all their days), but because the difficulty and random battle algorithm are both cranked too high in the game for my teeth. It's like the apocalypse with a great gnashing of teeth.MrPopo wrote: Earthbound (shame on you for not including it on a list of RPGs)
I also didn't like SoM3, from what I've played of it, mostly because it seems like a SaGa game. I loath SaGa games.

In Mother's defense, Shigesato Itoi has gone on record that they didn't really have time to test and balance a large portion of the game.
I'm surprised you weren't a fan of SD3, considering you seemed to like SoM and SoE. In my mind, the biggest difference interface-wise is that you have the skills you can use after X hits instead of charging your weapons for more damage. And I thought the class system makes for more interesting replays.

Re: good deal?
Oh I know they didn't really have a chance to play test Mother enough, and I'm dealing with that fine. It hasn't made me toss the game out the window yet. Tho the part I'm on right now would be nearly impossible without a save state function (not because it's terribly difficult but because there is no town for a large stretch of time).
The thing I don't like about SoM3 is the storyline. You pick what characters you want to play then it tosses you in. I haven't played it long enough to really have a big opinion about it or anything, but from what I've played so far it just hasn't sparked my interest. I kinda don't really care about the character I'm playing as and it just doesn't have the same feel as SoM2.
