Like what research? I mean, anyone can just say someone's wrong or misinformed, but can you tell me how?brunoafh wrote:I really don't mean any offense by this but you should seriously reconsider whatever "research" you are doing. As someone from NY and very familiar with all breeds of New Yorkers, it sounds to me like you have no idea what you are talking about.REPO Man wrote:And everything I've learned about NYC is from tons of research. I have to say I'm going to miss city living. I love it here in Denver. Not too large. Not too small. Just right.

I beg to differ. There are only three times when someone has pulled a gun on me when trying to mug me, twice were in New York City. I have no problem appreciating NYC from afar, I have no desire to ever go back.REPO Man wrote:That's right. Multiple people have tried. None have succeeded. One of the times in New York was ended when the guy pulled out his gun and several of my friends who were there with me took care of him. They were all Marine Special Operations who had just arrived back from a tour of Afghanistan that day.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Good lord! That is crazy. I have lived in various large cities throughout my life, and no one has ever tried to mug me. I'm just lucky I guess...

"What research" is what I should be asking. I've glanced over a few of your posts about the subject and mostly ignored it but the last one was too much. I mean, the whole situation you've painted with yourself is beyond puzzling to me. Why someone in financial danger would put themselves in a situation where they are living out of a motel eating bacon bits just simply eludes me.REPO Man wrote:Like what research? Do you really think acting like a "native New Yorker" is going to do anything but piss native New Yorkers off? It's bleedingly obvious and very annoying when people do it. And the bloods and the crips thing, unless you are roaming around the streets at night in the ghetto throwing up gang signs to every group of people you see hanging on a porch, I am 99% sure you have nothing to worry about with gang violence towards you.
You're over thinking it all.
