:( I think I've got a stomach bug that's going around. My brother's girlfriend, his ex and her grandparents had it.

And everything I've learned about NYC is from tons of research. And none of it's done from movies and TV.

New York is the same as any other city. Don't make it out like some magical fairyland. And seriously, worrying that much about what you wear? Its a huge city, nobody cares.

The closest I've even gotten to calling New York a "magical fairyland" was when I once billed it as a mashup of Paris and Thunderdome.

I really don't mean any offense by this but you should seriously reconsider whatever "research" you are doing. As someone from NY and very familiar with all breeds of New Yorkers, it sounds to me like you have no idea what you are talking about.
