Re: RPG Progress Report
Got my 4th and final job, and it was dragoon. It's not a great party to be honest - no support options, no healing capabilities, not especially fantastic damage potential. I'm gonna truck on through though...

Re: RPG Progress Report
A barehanded/red mage combo was one of my main damage dealers last time I played FFV. They can do pretty well.
Radiant Historia - I just fixed the Gauntlet. Different combinations of characters can make combat really interesting. Amazing that I'm 18 hours in and have never been bored in battle. Stocke, Eruca and Raynie or Stoke, Aht and Marco are great.
The plot is still fascinating. Stocke suddenly stopped being antisocial rather suddenly, but I don't mind. His dialogue is pretty insightful sometimes.

There are multiple endings...That's going to stress me out.

Went through Krypt today and joined up with Karn.
Re: RPG Progress Report
You shouldn't have to worry about it; because of the way time travel works in Historia you don't have to worry about creating a separate save files to get the endings. Essentially all you need to do is fill out all the nodes on the timeline and you'll see all the endings.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:There are multiple endings...That's going to stress me out.

Re: RPG Progress Report
That's good. I always went to extra lengths getting the good endings in Star Ocean games. Worth it in 1 and 2, not so much in 3. What a letdown. All that running back and forth...
With some games, the true ending is a really big deal. If you don't get it in Valkyrie Profile, you have seriously missed out. So, is it a big deal in Radiant Historia?

Re: RPG Progress Report
Made it to Exdeath's castle at the end of the second world in FFV with my 4 job fiesta team of Thief, Berserker, Geomancer and Dragoon. My thief is my most reliable team member right now, doing the most damage (thanks to equip axes giving her respectable attack and the twin lance letting her attack twice). My berserker is actually pretty reliable too, and my geomancer is either awesome or useless depending on the areas spell set. She's not too bad in this place though as it's all wind spells and she has a wind element boosting dagger equipped.
My dragoon isn't quite as good though. It's amazing how the game doesn't really give you any decent weapons for them for pretty much the first two thirds of the game - the best weapon you can find early on needs to be stolen, and then it's only equivalent in power to weapons for other classes. In fact, the highest lance power until the legendary weapon is 53, and then the legendary one is 109 - that's gonna be one hell of a step up, Still, right now she's equipped with some heavy armour and good accessories, so she should hold on as my main defender until then.
I managed to steal 4 reflect rings in the castle too. Having a totally reflecting party is going to be my main strategy for some of the later bosses, seeing how I can't cast any spells on myself anyway.
