If people really want to never see that kind of bullshit come up again ... the Xbox One has to fail with a miserable fiery death. Otherwise, it'll be classified as "try again later" or "consumers aren't ready". But it will still be the goal.

Companies take the stance of ... there's a method to get our way. And until they see their exact idea crash and burn, painfully ... they will keep pushing towards it.

And in Video Games ... companies aren't even attempting the alternatives in growing the medium ... they are focused like a laser on the initially proposed type of tactics ... and the reason why is: people generally put up with it. There's a handful of cases where people didn't and those companies immediately changed that scheme to something more reasonable ... but until people flat out say no ... with money ... it will keep coming around.

I almost feel like ... the only way this ends is with no big third party publishers.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing how MS and publishers would attempt to implement the trading and selling digital licenses.

Oh well, I guess this is okay news...? The X1 is still one hundred dollars more than the PS4, has slightly(?) less capable hardware, and forces a kinect on you. Still not all that appealing to me... I guess the X1 will appeal to the people who have done most of their gaming on a 360.
