Every US NTSC Sega Genesis Fighting game?

Post by gradualmeltdown »

Subject says it all. Pretty sure I've got every Sega Genesis fighting game complete in box. My classification of a "fighting" game is a bit loose :

Lifebars for each fighter

1 vs 1 combat

Several selectable characters

Not a boxing or wrestling game

Missing US Double Dragon release by Ballistic (Accolade).

What about games that have some fighting bits in them?

American Gladiators
Power Rangers: The Movie

You put Ka Ke Ki, but no Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, as they both occasionally are more than 1 on 1?

I was considering including Bruce Lee story actually, good point. Never played it but checked some video's.

I don't consider Double Dragon a fighter personally, more of a beat em up. like SOR or FF. Double Dragon V is a head to head fighter.

Isn't the infamous Rise of the Robots a fighting game? I've never played it, just heard stories of it's terrible-ness.

Didn't know that.

But MD do games work on the American Genesis, at least they do on the Model 1. I have a Mega Drive copy of Golden Axe that works fine.

Don't know if he's interested either way, though.

Some do some don't. Super Fantasy Zone does too, but aside form later ones with lockout, I think some check for 50 vs 60 hertz. Most J MD carts will work stuck in a Game Genie and not even bothering with a code, but again, some have lockouts.

But anyway, seems the OP was specifically for US released ones.

RIght this topic is about US games, though he's open to imports. I see Street Fighter.
