Overall weirdest game you've played.

Not just Japanese but western developed too.

For me, Heavy Rain. It might offend some to say this but it's true. I think this game has Autism. You struggle just to move, everything is jerky and off. The voice acting doesn't help it's case and, that first 20 minutes is just, DA FUQ? Plus the game seems to have some slightly off vision of how the world works. Now I'm not saying the developers or the characters have autism. I mean THE GAME HAS AUSTISM. Trust me I know autism when I see it, for 22 of the 30 years I've been on this Earth I've been exposed to autism and Heavy Rain has Autism. That doesn't mean it's a bad game or a terrible game just an odd one. In fact if you can't prove video games as art with this game then you can't do it at all.

nailed it right on the head there. I don't think we should exclude Cho Aniki either.

And if Heavy Rain is Autism. Then Katamai is ADHD.

Since Cho Aniki (hopefully the Saturn version), LSD and PuLiRuLa have already been mentioned, I'll have to go with Muscle March, although out of that bunch it's the only game I personally haven't played.
Weird Dreams is another good pick, although I'd say that the name and cover art kind of spoil the surprise in this case

I don't even think Katamari is that weird. It's Hilarious. Frustrating at times too when you don't roll up all you need.

Another weird one was Dante's inferno. I still have nightmares of the Gluttony level.
