i noticed a pinkish colored box being displayed when no computer is plugged into the monitor. when i plug in a computer the windows 7 displays normally but you can see a pinkish colored hue over then entire screen. is this an easy fix? anyone know whats wrong with it?

I think the general brightness/pinkness can be addressed with digital alignment software if you make/buy a cable. I have a Dell monitor with a similar Sony tube in it that has the same brightness problem, though the color skews more green. Haven't actually bothered to try getting a cable to fix it yet though.
