I like shooters but HL2 has always seemed uneven to me. The pacing is downright terrible.

Re: Console vs PCs in retrospect
I just built a good PC and still haven't done much with it yet so far this year, lol. But I'm a big fan of some FPS exclusives, both old and new, and obviously RTS's and such are best here. I don't like 3rd person at all on PC though, for some reason.
But yeah in the end, very easy to say I like sitting back with a bigger TV and controller in my hand. Funny talking to all my personal friends on FB and stuff lately about all the E3 stuff or whatnot, but I'm pretty sure I'm like the only guy that still feels this way, when everyone else seems to easily lean towards the PC in the end. Wrong crowd? lol...

That's why Valve invented Big Picture mode.Xeogred wrote:I just built a good PC and still haven't done much with it yet so far this year, lol. I have actually been toying around with it for the last week while my desktop is out of commission and it's really not bad to use at all. It has some bugs, but for the most part it works great. I have my laptop set to wake up with input from a USB device, and with no password lock, I can just hold the home button on my controller and it boots up just like a console. Pretty neat.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Console vs PCs in retrospect
Well I hate to admit, I literally have my PC dual monitoring to my 40" for anime and such... lol. So it's literally just laziness in me not wanting to optimize stuff or setup controllers, etc (I have an awesome PS2 USB port I use for everything emulation).
So ... well with consoles it's so easy and simple, the lazy man stuff!

I've been a little lazy with this PC in general though. I got all theses HDD's setup everywhere, but I really need to spend like an entire day to finally organize everything again. lol

I am always serious.ApolloBoy wrote:You're not serious, are you?Retronomy wrote:To be honest, I see somewhat of a trend in today's PC market that greatly mirrors PC gaming in the late 80s-early 90s. We're getting a huge wave of indie games, which usually comes from ease of programming and publishing. With a slew of tools and distrobution platforms, in addition to social network platforms, a small team of devs at least have a chance at breaking into the industry again. This same thing happened with commodore, then dos. Seems to happen in an almost cyclic fashion.
