ATTENTION ALL DC COMICS FANS!

Walmart is having a mega sale on Superman dvds to promote the upcoming Man Of Steel. I saw all ten seasons of Smallville for fifteen bucks apiece, all three volumes of the 90s animated series for ten apiece, The Adventures Of Superman, Ruby Spears Superman and more besides. If you need to fill any holes in your collection, now's the time.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

I didn't know the Ruby-Spears series ever made it to DVD. I already have what I want, though, the Superman 1 & 2 movies and the 90s Superman TAS.

I went to Goodwill today, and came back with some awesome issues for only $1 a piece! Filled in my X-Factor whole (from the original 5 X-Men run), And got the first couple of issues of New Warriors from when Scarlet Spider joined the team. And all of them bagged and boarded to boot!

But best of all, for only a $1, was the first appearance of Apocalypse issue in X-Factor #6:

Hell yeah! That's a find!

I just found this thread. Nice to know there are fellow comic book fans here!

As for back issues, another good place to go is: mycomicshop.com. I pretty much buy all my back issues from there and never had an issue. There packing is top notch too, IMO.

Recently though, I've been cutting down on my floppies and going mainly digital. This saves me TONS of space. After 20+ years of collecting comics, things can get pretty cluttered. If you haven't tried comixology.com, I recommend them as well.

Okay, I need to actually start posting in this thread because I'm a pretty hardcore comic nerd. I don't really follow the "big two" but I still loves me some funnybooks!

The comic shop I normally go to had a grand opening for a new location, which was exciting. The first 100 people got a free Marvel hardcover - I opted for "X-Men - Magik: Storm & Illyana." I know nothing about it but I used to like the X-Men when I was a kid? Hopefully I'll be able to follow along?

I also picked up Dark Horse Presents #24 (DHP is a high-quality series that I recommend to anyone who likes trying new things), Rachel Rising #17 (I recently started collecting Rachel Rising... but haven't read any of it yet), Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible #3 (I love Hellboy and all the spinoffs - I'm so glad Abe has a monthly series now!), and East of West #3 (a sci-fi Western series I'm liking more than I thought I would).

Comics are cool, I collect mainly DC titles, early Dark Horse, Image and indie titles. I love early Vertigo comics too.

Have you read this yet? I take it this is a reprint of the Claremont mini-series back in the early 80s. It's on my "to read" list, as I LOVE Magik. She is one of my favorites in the current Uncanny X-Men series.

Oh man! I hadn't even cracked open the X-Men book because I assumed it was some modern thing, but it's totally the 80s Claremont series!
Now I'm excited!

I'm curious to see what everyone's thoughts are on DC's New 52 now that we're this far into it? We're at a point where all the shiny newness should have worn off.

So, what do you guys think?
