@Stark: Adorable kid! I'm happy to hear that everything went well. Big smiles
@Ack: Good to hear. Cancer or not, it's a terrible thing when you realize the mortality of the people you love. It's a sad, infuriating and confusing emotion when that day finally comes. Enjoy every bit of the moments you still have left.
Also, I started crying while reading about "That Dragon, Cancer". The pictures and the story yank on some emotions I wasn't sure I had left. More people should know about this game, and I'll definitely be supporting it. More games should put you in these uncomfortable roles that make you think differently than you would if you hadn't experienced such emotions. Just watched an Extra Credits about a similar topic.
My Friday.
PT Cruiser goes back in the shop tomorrow.
Friend on Facebook bought me the first set of Pokemon Adventures. Really looking forward to reading the series.
I'm not the only one who enjoyed my early birthday present:
EDIT:
I'm really enjoying Pokemon Adventures! A lot more than I thought I would. I can't wait to keep reading, and that's not something I say very often. This may kick up my addiction to manga again, and that's not such a good thing. When I lived in Minot, my small studio apartment had STACKS of manga everywhere. I spent nearly all my money every time they had those buy 2 get 1 deals. When the bookstore went out of business up there, I nearly bought everything they had left.

ER couldn't find anything even with numbing me, dyes, and a morgan's lens flush. Turns out I have a corneal abrasion. And a "big one" at that. I was sent to an opthamologist, who numbed me again, searched for foreign bodies, found none. Then he gave me a scrip for Vicodin and some other eyedrop type pain reliever and a 'contact bandage.' I have much less pain, but it's still there.
I can't drive, I can't return to work until Monday, I can't practice the drums, it hurts a bit to use the computer (lol typing this hurts) and unfortunately, worst of all - I have to do a return exam tomorrow at 3PM. My showing of MAN OF STEEL is at 3.45.
Damn. It.

No of course, that's cool that she does that for a living. Is your wife an ophthalmologist? I was really amazed at how her eyes were correct upon waking from a 40 minute surgery and that it was an out patient procedure. Science is really amazing.BoneSnapDeez wrote:@Stark - omg what a cute kid! Hope you don't mind I showed my wife those pics - "strabs" are her line of work.

Too cute Jinx.
Smile: Quick call from my Mom today after she visited a new cardiologist. She was zapped, and is on a new anticoagulant. She doesn't have a high risk factor for stroke, so medicine may do the trick. I'll have to wait and see.
Oh Man: Not only is the vest for the tux purple, it's paisley purple, and the tie is also purple. I'll have to post a pic of this travesty soon. And I will be sweating bullets the entire day of the wedding, as I broke out in a sweat just from walking to my mail box today. Kool-Aid man couldn't save me from this Scorcher.
But: I told my wife "I'm bringing a cigar and a flask of scotch for the reception" and her response was "save some for me". So lucky to have her on my side.
