I did watch the video and valid points are made. I suspose ill hold my reserves until then to see any final result. But to say they only have about 5-10 games exclusive to Xbox...it's still not the end of my world.

I understand everyone concern but the way some are try to... Ahem..."address" the situation is overly loud and almost to a pointless manner. There is a more productive way to go about such topics

@ lost_within - Damn! Your are hardcore in keeping up with the latest consoles! I thought the extra preorder was a backup in case one preorder got fouled up. To get both the PS4 and XboxOne preordered and on top of that two of each for separate rooms!

Ideally any games you purchase should work on both consoles since they are in the same household. Too early to confirm other then trusting newsfeeds and announcements. You won't know absolutely until you actually own the consoles, just something to consider.

I really hate the idea the possibility of games no longer working without authentication due to a server shutdown years later. The idea that the DRM/DLC console games will be cracked is unlikely. I can't even legitimately purchase let alone find a crack for DLCs on the original Xbox.

I agree with everything you said, but...

You know Halo isn't an acronym right?
What? I thought it was an acronym for the bad half of the people that play it and scream epithets and curses at others. Hyper Agitated Lamers Online. :P

That describes basically every online experience I've had on a console.

Hooray for password protected dedicated servers on PC!

Has anybody else here pre-ordered the Xbox One or is it just Lost Within? I know dsh was saying he was probably going to get one eventually...

It's preordered but may get canceled depending on the number of exclusives in the launch lineup.

Mine's preordered as well, along with my PS4.

Well then, I would suggest you start by blaming Disney and the RIAA and not buying their producs. While many companies and organizations favor expanding copyright laws, Disney and the RIAA are the biggest names behidn the movement and shell out the most money to get Congress to back further expansions on how long a product can be controlled. And I believe we'll hear about further expansions to those laws soon, as Disney's copyrights should be expiring in a few years (this battle occurs in Congress whenever the Mickey Mouse IP nears its ownership expiration).
I already don't buy nearly all of those businesses' products for various reasons, but I think you make a good point (and I am aware of the Disney situation). I might as well just straight out boycott them.

Basically this means I need to stop renting films, which I barely do anyway. I don't have cable or even an antenna hooked up, and I haven't been in a theater for probably over 6 years. I already decided to quit going completely after the switch to digital fiasco.

Ah well. Slightly more time and money for other stuff.

I do try make my points and not be offensive, but it seems I've failed...again.

Am I at Inazuma levels yet? I'd hate to become the next resident argumentative forum troll.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.
