Awesomeness and smiles around. I also think we should wear capes too, being the superhuman we are.

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing good- that's one of the best things you can hear.

Frown: my roommate has his idiot friends over so I'm outside lest I go insane. My idea of a good time does not involve being pressured to visit porn sites, 4chan, and then hand my laptop over so they can watch Game of Thrones on my bed.

Don't give them your laptop is a pretty easy solution.

@ Stark - Awesome! Glad everything turned out so well.

:D : I've been working on a website for a business who had it done by another company out of state. The thing needed some major editing and the people who made it put so much useless junk in it that it's baffling. Massive amounts of useless PHP, scripts are in the code that aren't even being used....tis a headache.

I've been trying to figure out for the last couple days and today I finally found the right files to edit, so I can update the pages that need to be updated. I don't know what the point of creating a standard PHP menu is when you're going to hide a file that overwrites your script within a series of 6 other folders. Admittedly, I'm technically a web designer, not creator, but I was trained in the basics. It's just that some of the stuff they put together seems a little much for a website as basic as what they made.

Oh, and they couldn't organize the site for crap. But at least I know what I'm doing now.

:x : As soon as I fixed the problem and went to upload the changes, the server wouldn't let me connect. Even when I used a different program, it kept connecting and then disconnecting. Well, fudge you, server. I'll just edit some more pages until you decide to be cooperative.

:( :Gotta take mom to the doctor tomorrow. We have to be there by 7 am (bah!) That's early for me, which is going to put my sleep schedule completely out of whack.

Ah well. I'm off to charge the portables.

Smile: OVERTIME HOCKEY!!!

But more than that, a good friend of mine who is a single Mother has a son who is older than some of the younger members on this forum. We met through Kevin Smith and have been friends for longer than I would like to admit.

Long story short (or short story long), her teenage son had to dress up for a formal occasion and didn't know how to tie a tie or where to place his tie clip and threw a teenage tantrum. The dude is a string bean trying to pull off a double windsor with a tie clip about three inches below his nipples.

I told her "Tell your son that thin is in, and to tie a four in hand knot with a dimple. It's a simple knot and will accentuate his figure. Tell him to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and where his right hand is is where his clip should be. Near the breast or three buttons down".

She sent me a "thanks" and a pic, and her "kid" looks dapper.

:x : SNES power cord still has not arrived. Ordered it 25 days ago and the postage was paid on it 23 days ago. Seller has never taken it to the post office even after multiple emails and promises from the seller. Amazons latest expected delivery date was yesterday and the seller promised to have it here by today. However it is still labeled as "in transit to the post office" so it obviously hasn't moved an inch. At least I can finally file an A-Z claim on it tomorrow and get ready to order another one.

 : derecho hits tonight at 3 am :X. Last year when one hit we were without power for 2 weeks and at work we spent about 2 months clearing trees off the roads.

:) : Friday is pay day.
