Yeah if you look closely at the action happening in the foreground it's largely unchanged from 2d to 3d. It's just a background that fakes you out. As long as they give you a choice it's fine.

Not sure that I'd call SIE, R-type and what's often considered the best KOF game as "crappy." No, it's not the best thing they could put out, but as far as mining older games they could do a HELL of a lot worse.

I may be a sucker for this title, but perhaps not. Looks great, but I'm just glad that Microsoft mandates demos for all of the XBLA games.

Oh, and DUX will be slammed as an R-type rip-off even more if it comes out too close to this game's release.
