Mechwarrior Living Legends Beta Dec 26!

That's right, that little Crysis mod is going into public beta the day after Christmas. Make sure you're patched up to 1.21 and get ready for some hot Mech on Mech action (with a sprinkling of Elementals for good measure).

So am I the only one who enjoys some good Mech action and can run Crysis? So far I've been having a blast with this thing. There's occationally an issue with CTDs, but for the most part the hardest thing has been to find servers that are configured properly (no more players than it can handle). When things run smoothly we have possible the best Mech experience ever.

Had this bookmarked but never thought it'd reach alpha, let alone beta! Will definitely check it out. Are the servers usually active? Most mods aren't exactly known for their popularity.

So I've popped in at various times, and there's usually 3-4 near-full servers (of varying sizes).

This is why I don't like MP-only games. The servers are all at zero, so this mod is now entirely worthless. Bots at least can provide a mild distraction.

I was wondering about MWLL recently, since MWO is going strong. My wife and I both own Crysis Warhead solely to play the mod and I loved my time with MWLL, it was more like Battlefield 2142 than a Mechwarrior game (just enough arcade style).

Apparently there's still an active server but still it seems only a handful of people play this mod. And what's up with the pricing in MWO? Almost 5000 credits for a Mech, that's ~$26 in real-world monies? Absurd!
