I'm a skinny nerd with glasses, ADHD and social/verbal akwardness. Wether that's better or worse, I don't know. I have few friends, and have never had a girlfriend and probably never will. But I don't care. What's the point? I'm perfectly happy with my toys and video games.

Luckily Ive started getting over my social akwardness and not caring what people think. I can speak in front of a crowd now without being embarresed.

I either act like this, or let my emotions come out, which leads to me going from extremely angry, to level, to occasionally really sad with no real explanation- if I don't control my emotions, I become nothing but emotional extremes.
I know you don't want to hear it, but this is a good description of depression. Anger and sadness are two sides of the same coin and when people get tired of the pain of those emotions, they numb themselves to lessen the hurt.

It doesn't sound like you're interested in exploring this or getting help, so no amount of advice is going to be able to move you in that direction. Keep it in mind though and maybe someday you'll want to work towards making some changes. When you're ready, you can improve your life without obliterating your personality.

On a more general note, suggesting someone try new, fun activities is good advice for a person who is sad or down on his luck, but it's not much help to someone suffering from depression. People experiencing depression need professional help. Even then it's not easy, but it's worth the effort to make your life worth living.

:( Missed out on all the fun in this thread. I'm sure my lack of social skills, not talking to a girl until I was 18+, and my rather "I don't give a fuck" attitude could have given some pretty crappy advice. Looks like that ship has sailed. Moving on...

:D E3!!! For the past few years, I've noticed I'm not excited until it actually gets here.

:( More money being dumped into that vehicle. I swear, it's not worth it at this point...

:D Kit goes to take her test tomorrow.

:( Which means I have to stay up past noon. This going to be rough...

Losing time again. This is the reason I want to become a stay-at-home dad so badly. I work all night and sleep most of the day. When I'm awake, I really don't feel "awake". I try to spend as much time with my daughter as possible, squeeze in a little me time, and before I know it, I need a nap before work. This is something I've always had a problem with and I'm not sure how to fix it. I don't feel "productive" and when I do have the chance I get a "why bother" attitude and pass that chance up. Even taking the time to play a couple levels of a video game make me feel productive.
On my weekends, I normally plan on 1.Playing <insert game> 2.Studying German 3.Programming my crappy puzzle game. Not much, and these things can easily be scheduled out to make my weekend both fun and productive. So what ends up happening? 1.Watch tons of Let's Plays and Review videos on YouTube. 2.Try desperately to make new friends on the Internet, and realize I hate the human race (then go back to the YouTube videos).
This is something about myself I hate, and I really want to change. I lose interest in things too fast, and can't seem to force myself to actually get stuff done. When I was jobless or in-between jobs, it was the complete opposite. I rarely got any sleep, but I was always doing something. I'm not sure how to fix this...

Sorry for the rant. I'm at work, bored, tired, and blah...

Smile: Going to Waynesville with my sister today to meet up with my dad (he's up from Florida to help take care of a friend who'd been in the hospital).

Bonus Smile: The first scene of Joe The Circle is completely finished! Now comes the hard part: making character models for the human characters. I haven't quite got the hang of that, but I can watch one of the tutorials I downloaded from youtube to refresh my memory.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

It's fine. But please make a conscious effort to hold your tongue before making defamatory comments about women/girls. Be a man of strong character.

Smile: This.

Frown: Getting close to but not beating Paperboy 2.

Smile: I think Hobie-wan and others will love this:

I can assure you that this is perfectly normal for someone with a demanding job and a small child. I have a "to do" list for 2013, and I could probably complete everything on it in a few days if I went at it hammer-and-tongs. Between work and children, however, I will be lucky to complete eveything on it by the end of the year...

Your children will inevitably get older, however, and work will calm down at some point; so don't stress yourself out if you are in a "holding pattern" at the moment.

I've never been afraid of public speaking, even though I'm terrible at it. Lots of ums, ughs, pauses, and stutters. Often I'll just start going off on something irrelevent and I'm very bad at getting my point across, and my voice doesn't stay consistant, especially as a teenager. But that's not because I'm speaking in public, that's just how I always talk.

Obama says "uhhhhhhhh" all the friggin time during "his" speeches.

If you feel an "um" coming on, try replacing it with a "so" or "leading to", or whatever you are comfortable with.
