Hey, a new Mirror's Edge game. Today's turning out pretty decent.

Mirror's Edge 2 looks phenomenal, and the EA presser wasn't too bad. They kept the sports content a bit light and focused more on traditional content. Plus, I can't stop snickering at the Peggle 2 announcement.

I'm of mixed thoughts on the Mirrors Edge 2 trailer (and specifically the trailer, the general idea of Mirrors Edge 2 is awesome). On the one hand, they made the hand to hand combat more interesting. On the other hand, because they did that it makes me think they're going to put more of it in the game, rather than just reducing the combat in general.

You've got a point. What made Mirror's Edge so great was how as frustrating as the combat could be when you were free running and moving quickly the game was absolutely brilliant.

So apparently the new Mirror's Edge game is a reboot. Not sure how I feel about that. It's not like they're redoing the core gameplay or the world design, so do they really feel like the existing story left them nowhere to go?

They're rebooting a 5-year-old series that consists of only one game? That's gotta be a new record.

I don't understand why so many people aren't excited about MGS5. Both trailers were great, and the second one showed a few minutes of gameplay so it's not like it's all a bunch of deceiving CGI. So far it looks like a modern MGS game in the style of Snake Eater, and there's nothing to not like about that IMO.

This E3 makes me realize that there are way too many CG trailers. Who gets hyped for these?

And pre-recorded "game" footage pawned off as live game footage. Pshaw!

I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited!!!

Seriously about the only interesting thing so far. Mirror's Edge is cool, but that was a really short teaser.
