Who Still Takes Notes While Playing RPGs?

I can't recall ever taking notes... maybe once or twice but if I did, I am not sure which game.

I took notes and created maps of Zelda, Metroid, and various Macintosh adventure games when I was younger.

Don't have time for that these days - I mostly "cheat" using GameFAQs, VGMaps, etc...

I definitely "cheat" nowadays. If I didn't, it would take me months to complete a game because I often can't play more than once a week.

If I put a game down (specifically an rpg) I try to write a detailed note of what I've done and what I need to do. on a side note, not sure if this counts but I do keep a small note pad to write down codes for games for example castlevania, so I don’t have to restart from the beginning.

Not for single player ones.

I'll write down: "NPC in [Town X] said to head NW to [Fortress Y]" in case I'm not able to play for a bit.

I write that stuff down too. "Use the shovel two steps north of the dead tree." Things like that I'm liable to forget.

I do take notes while playing the SMT series, especially for demon fusion.

I take notes at times to record things like passwords that I will need later. I keep a notebook for this kind of information, along with passwords to continue o to various levels of all the games I play.

I spent the last few hours with a pen and notepad after playing Mega Man X2 - definitely need to remember those passwords!
