Hot Damn that satirical article is about dead on. The Onion is hit and miss with me, but that was definitely a hit.
Shy/Awkward: Lingerie shopping for a petite woman is a chore. Sure, finding bras and panties is a breeze, but I have come up empty when trying to find a corset and stockings for my wife.
Are there any lingerie shops that target the petite?

I know a few places, but they are mostly gothic and such and all on the internet. The only place I've bought a corset in person was at a ren fest, but those are the more expensive ones and better built (and harder to get off. Not making a joke, I got stuck in one and it kinda sucked. You can't eat much when wearing them).
If you buy online, the best thing to do is have her measurements handy, but if you are trying to surprise her that will be a bit hard. The good thing about them though, you can be a few inches off and still just tighten the laces to fit.
Good luck
I'm here for your body.

Well, none of them are still in town-they'll be visiting and all, but the closest one is going to be in Waco, and that's a bit of a drive. One of them is headed up to West Point, so I'll only see him on holidays, if then.AppleQueso wrote:You did say "went to graduation," thought you meant you were all graduating and your friends were moving. If they're still in town... what's the problem? You can just go visit them or whatever.
Didn't you say before that you were still looking for your first job or something?
I honestly don't see what the problem with making friends at work would be anyway. You see these people nearly every day, and with work friends you have people you can rely on for the occasional ride, covering your shifts, etc.
I would love to hear why making friends at work is "not any kind of good idea." You act as if it's self evident or something.
And friends at work is generally a case of necessity rather than sharing any interests or the like, at least from what I understand. All of the 'friends' my dad has at work he knew before, and my mom doesn't keep work friends. I've always just been taught its a bad idea, generally because the kind of stuff I'll be working is full of weirdos and jackasses.
I'm just bothered by everybody going off, and my plans to go off. My parents have lifelong friends that are still around, but then again, none of them really moved away. I want to move north or east in the state, or towards the coast, somewhere away from here. But then, I'm scared I'm going to lose touch with friends. A graduation party last night is the first time I've seen a certain friend in over 10 years, and she's already packing to move. Its a strange feeling.

Not always true. I'm not saying you should try and make friends with people you normally wouldn't want to be friends with, just saying that hey, you might meet someone you work with who shares similar interests that you get along with or something. Nothing wrong with that at all.Forlorn Drifter wrote:And friends at work is generally a case of necessity rather than sharing any interests or the like, at least from what I understand. Sometimes you lose touch with friends when they move, sometimes you don't. A good friend of mine moved to Arizona, but we still keep in touch. He even drove up here earlier this year (West side of Arizona to the middle of Texas... that's a hell of a drive) and we got to hang out again.
It kinda sucks to see all your friends go away like that, but it's just part of growing older and something you get used to.

I guess its something to get used to, but in cases like my dad's friend, who is the previously mentioned girls father, they've known each other since high school and still see each other. I want to be able to do that, but if I or my friends move halfway across the state, that won't exactly work.

Like I said, there's my Arizona friend as an example. Driving across Texas is a lot easier than driving across multiple state lines. If you keep in touch, you'll be able to make time to hang out, It's not all doom and gloom.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I guess its something to get used to, but in cases like my dad's friend, who is the previously mentioned girls father, they've known each other since high school and still see each other. But when I think of my life in the future, due to a mix of over imagination, cynical attitude, and preference for sad movies and music, I think my life is going to end up in some kind of sad story in west or north Texas, with nothing to my name besides my '65 F100 and a dysfunctional relationship with a pretty girl, selling drugs or working as a coyote to make enough cash to get by, with no friends to help me along.
Yeah, I should write a comic book about some of this stuff I should come up with...

I think at least part of the reason you're so depressed about your life is the fact you seem to focus on all the negative things. You've got to find something else to spend your time on, something productive. Work towards a college education, or start writing music, or build a shed... just do something.
If you're like me, you'll stop caring (or even thinking) about all the people you used to know very quickly once high school is over and you've moved out. For me, it was literally overnight. You'll have many other things occupying your time and thoughts. Right now, the only people I really care to know very well are my family members. And I'm happier now than I ever was during high school. All it takes is the right attitude and the right job. Heck, as long as you've got the right attitude you don't even need the right job.

Why does everyone think I'm depressed?
