Raiden Legacy

For a legacy compilation it is missing Raiden II and DX which is quite disappointing. I also gave the Android version a whirl and the touch controls aren't as responsive as modern shmups made for touchscreens. A shame really since MAME still doesn't emulate 2 and DX adequately.

I was just noticing this in the Apple app store the other day, and I've been debating getting it for $9 instead of Raiden Fighters Aces, which would potentially set me back $90. Any word on how the Fighters ports stack up to the ones in Raiden Fighters Aces?

Hmmm. Not looking like I can escape my fate with this one, yet. Maybe they'll take the French shmupers' suggestions, and I can actually justify getting it over Raiden Fighters Aces.

Saw this up on GoG a while ago, and it's kinda tempting. I recently got Raiden Project for the PS1, though, so I'm more inclined to play that for now, and wait for a sale at GoG before getting that collection.

While they're bringing back PC versions of shmup compilations, here's hoping that they bring back that old Darius collection at some point. =)
