You sure they are your friends?

Friends should be like family. They don't beat around the bush or make excuses. And if you are comping them for admission I'd make sure make sure they don't get in for free in the future.

But hey. Eff it. Seriously. You should be too busy being stoked for your show and not being worried with wishy-washers. This is your night, not theirs.

Break a leg tonight, and DESTROY!

:D : Finally found a small table I'd been looking for for a while. It's an old, slightly beat up telephone table with a shelf and a drawer. I'm going to sand and refinish it so I can start planning that table-top mosaic project I've been thinking about.

:? : I have to take mom to the doctor on Thursday, because dad has his own doctor appointment out of town, which means I pretty much loose a full day at work. She has to be there by 7am and when she asked how long it was going to take they said she'd should be home by noon

8) : "Don't worry, Mom! I just gotta remember to charge up the PSP and 3DS!"
"Thank you for your concern, my child."

:) : I'll probably be able to get a couple hours of work in once we get home. Plus, she's going to be all drugged up, so the entertainment factor alone may be worth it, assuming she doesn't pass out on the couch

:x : I love my DVD boxed sets, but why oh why must the spindles break on almost each and every one of them? Bought online... Bought in-store... It doesn't matter, they break. Thank goodness for multi-purpose glue, or I'd spend a fortune on replacement cases.

 Fucking rain! We got our day to Magic Kingdom ruined by a big-ass storm which hit just almost literally after we got into the park.

I know how you feel. After we finished 8th grade last year two of my best friends went to a different school and the other one moved to Idaho. Thankfully I found new friends in high school.

Graduated from HS today. I was happy. I was sad. My dad made me cry (like a real man). Also, lobster dinner is being made as we speak. I got a German-made Warwick Corvette 4 string and dear lord is bass playing heaven. I finally can get my funky slap jams out now!

So overall, tis been a good day.

Much Love, and way to go buddy.

Sounds cliche', but the world is now officially your oyster.

Had a nice day, took the kids to an old train about 15 mins from our place - it's 3 cars long and stationary, a landmark of sorts for young and old alike to climb on. Kids had a blast, then we went to the meat market and everyone got to pick out their favorite cut.

School ended yesterday; as such we did Dairy Queen last night and then we watch The Goonies before bed on first official day of Summer Vacation. All day in preparation my boys have been doing "The Truffle Shuffle". Timeless and priceless.

Came home, played some Cotton Boomerang, and then put another 3 hours on the bathroom. Just finished up all the tile except the final 12" in front of the shower area (not having that last bit tiled will make it much easier to get the shower unit in place).

Put the vanity in just now and will grout everything tomorrow. I plan to have sink/toilet by sundown tomorrow night.

Really busy day tomorrow - church and then a pot luck for our pastor whom is retiring, get out of there and rush to Duluth for my sons karate belt testing. Come home and grout the tile, grill some burgers and then back to church for first night of Vacation Bible School; where my wife and I will be teaching "Discovery Time" which will take us to Zimbabwe / Japan / Australia and Mexico.

:D Had a great weekend overall, despite all the drama my "mother" attempted to stir up. Seriously, Kit gets angrier than I do with this stuff. She was never in my life to begin with, so why should I care now?

:( More expenses digging into our vacation savings. I'm going to make this work one way or another, but when it's all over and we're back in Houston, I'm going to have to do a lot of messing around with our budget to get back on track.

:( Trying to find Pokemon games for a good price is ridiculous. I was lucky enough to snag LeafGreen from a member here, but I want to get FireRed so Kit can experience Pokemon. For reasons mentioned above, I can't drop that much cash on a single loose cartridge. Guess it will have to wait.

:? Jokingly asked for something for my birthday and somebody took it seriously. I mean, I really want it, but I don't ever expect anybody to buy me anything. They asked for my address, and I've been avoiding them ever since. I feel like I'm being rude either way I go.

:) Last night's gig went off great. We played with a band called Fast Love, and they were amay-hay-zing. They have a lady guitarist and suffice to say, I think I'm in love. They were seriously awesome. A few of my friends did show up so that was nice. They said we 'played awesome.'

 I think my lead guitarist's wife made a pass at me. I'm no prize pig, and she's actually a little older, 45 I think. Cougar age I suppose, but quite attractive. If (IF) I understood it correctly, it was flattering but... uncomfortable. I wish my wife had gone with me, she was sick last night so she couldn't attend. I'd love to be all "heh heh, still got it" but thats not how it felt, lol.

:( looks like this weird little psuedo cold finally decided to turn into a full on cold. I've had a tickle in the throat, the "sick voice" and chest pressure for the last few days, but no snot, no fevers, no pain. Until last night. Now I think I'm in the full throes of a flu. Sucks.

^Glad the show went well Indecks.

Smile: The double sudden death overtime (or as my old roommate called it "sudden over death") Blackhawks thriller of a win. Could you imagine how lame it would have been to end the game with a shootout?

Frown: I'm paying for my late night/early morning celebration. Plus my wife bought PBR instead of what I asked for (312), so my tum tum isn't so hot right now.

Smile/frown: Taking the week "off" (when your job is Internet based you can never leave work) to see family, friends, and then go to a wedding this weekend.
