SNES is the best console of all time - you need one now CRT! And do the tab mod to play Super Famicom carts.
And that Namco Game Key PlugnPlay is amazing!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Found quite a bit today
.
Best Deal of the day was most likely Super Mario 64 for a total cost of $1. Cart is pretty dirty but just needs a good cleaning label looks fine.
The List:
40 Winks(PS1)
Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War(PS2)
Back Yard Wrestling w/ exclusive Music & Mayhem DVD(Xbox)
Call of Duty Finest Hour(PS2)
Call of Duty World at War Final Fronts(PS2)
Chopper Command(2600)
Dragon Ball Budokai 3(PS2)
Ghost Busters The Video Game(PSP)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince(PS2)
Jurrassic Park CIB(Genesis)
LOTRO The Third Age
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2(PS2)
Metal Arms Glitch in the System(PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater(PS2)
Myst III Exile(Xbox)
Playtstation Underground Demo Disc Version 1.4(PS1)
PS one Demo Disc(PS1)
SoulCalibur III(PS2)
Star Wars Rogue Leader II(GC)
Super Mario 64(N64)
Winter Olympics(Sega Mega Drive + Genesis)
Xbox Live Arcade(360)
Yar's Revenge(2600)
Accessories:
GBA Carrying Case
Atari 2600 Video Touch Pad
Pelican Edge Wireless Xbox controller with adapter
Mad Catz Xbox controller with break away cable.

Planning on putting most of the stuff onto my sales thread. Will be keeping Super Mario 64, + the demo discs, 2600 carts, and the Atari Video touch pad. Will also be swapping out JP and Soul Calibur 2 for my current loose/incomplete copies.

Curious Question:dsheinem wrote: You know what, over time almost all the SNES games I enjoy or own have been ported to another console (either they were on the Genesis or have since come out elsewhere in digital form and/or physical form). There is less and less of an argument for keeping that SNES around...
If you bought all of the noteworthy titles for SNES on Wii/Wii-U Virtual Console, would it be cheaper than piecing it together and getting the physical copies? My guess is yes, then on the flipside you could emulate it and pay nothing at all. I've been toying with the idea of finding a SNES in the wild, but after your points, I'm not so sure.

Thanks. The cart is pristine in comparison to the other ones, maybe the reason for the small markup. Well, it did have an independent game store rental sticker on it which I cleaned off. But even though a rental, the game contacts inside are immaculate probably due to that store being an independent and not a Blockbuster or some other big name. Games such as this find makes visiting Thrift Stores worth the while. I didn't even know it was uncommon, but my daughter did. Kind of a NES guru, she knew about Chiller which we both are keeping an eye out and some other obscure titles too.Hobie-wan wrote:They probably priced it a bit more as they hadn't heard of it and figured it was a bit more uncommon. It's worth more than $6 though. Nice find and looks nice and clean.CRTGAMER wrote:NES Felix The Cat - $6.00 Thrift Store
Sometimes having a fellow gamer along helps in locating uncommon games, but sometimes also means competition. I am a bad influence, my daughter beat me to this game. Yes the same daughter who gave me her Wii in trade for a NES console. I spotted it under the glass, when my daughter exclaimed that she already claimed it. Maybe the store must have known this game was valuable, all the other carts were $3.99? Ah well, at least its still in the same household. I have played the Gameboy version, a nice platformer.

For now no plans for the SNES console, so many on the table. However, I had never planned on getting an original Xbox either having refunded a Christmas present Xbox years ago.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I missed making the yard sale rounds yesterday, so I decided to take a trip to a Sunday mini-flea market being hosted by a Knights of Columbus chapter. Due to an error on their craigslist posting, I arrived a good forty minutes early. Since I was there and most of the people were set up, I decided to take a walk around. My earliness paid off when I came across a couple selling random Nintendo stuff.
N64 + 2 controllers = $10
Ocarina of Time = $5
Mario Kart 64 = $5
They also had the family's collection of NES games for sale for $5 each. I did a quick scan and most were common games (Top Gun, etc) expect for a random unlicensed game in the back called F-15 City Strike. I've never seen that game before and snatched it up. After about 5 minutes I thought I'd go back and give the NES games a closer look in case I missed on anything. When I got back, someone vacuumed up everything with the word Nintendo on it.
So not bad for $25. Got back to my neighborhood and noticed a multi-family yard sale. Stopped and found a table full of GameCube stuff CIB!
Bought this lot for $40:
Gamecube Console CIB
2 DK Bongos CIB
GBA with link cable
Pac-Man package
donkey konga 2
donkey kong Jungle beat
Mario Party 7
In addition when I was leaving, the guy running the yard sale offered me 2 more loose bongos for free. They had been left out in the rain and he couldn't verify if they still worked. For free sure I'll take them why not?
All-in-all an excellent haul for $65.

The seller also had a bottle openner and a cuff link/wallet pack.
I thought about the pack just for the cufflinks but the price was too much
Later realised that they were just too big and not very subtle
The seller gave me a £2 discount and charged £10
Best for last...

Commodore 64 PnP Mamoth Toys 2004, first one of these i've managed to find
Seller wanted £1 for it, I asked the seller if he minded me taking the cover off to check it,to which he produced a fold up screwdriver. Once opened although the batterys had leakedit didnt look past the point of no return but the seller thought it fit for the bin
He was quite willing to take my 50p
MK PnP Jak's 2004, Again a first for me
This from a seller asking £35 for a 64 with carry case, 3 controllers, and 4 common games
he wasn't willing to sell me the single third party controller as he wanted it to go as a bundle
When asked "how much" he replied "20p"

You have got to get a Wii console to keep that Classic Controller company. So many great games you are missing out on for the vertical Wii.
