What ticked me off today and for the better part of this week is that I think I'm going to lose $449.00 to fraudulent website called www.clazzioseatcovers.com Paypal has been utterly useless and I've filed fraud reports with my police dept, attorney generals office and IC3.gov to no avail yet. I can't believe I fell for their back order BS story.
I ordered leather seat covers from them, they supposedly were shipping from Japan and take around 8 weeks to arrive max. I placed the order in March and in mid May I decided to cancel the order. They agreed to refund me, and I have been waiting for my money ever since. Since its past the 45 day mark Paypal says they can't do anything and the company has never sent a refund request.
If you ever were in the market for seat covers, stay away from them. www.clazzioseatcovers.com is a scam and fraudulent website. Any help or suggestions you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Pissed me off: Netflix.
We were enjoying a show called Green Wing (like a Brit version of Scrubs - except funny, that is) and we had about 3 or 4 episodes left and they removed it.
God dammit.

I don't want to start another argument, but I feel I should point out that situations like that are the exact reason piracy is so rampant. Who wants to deal with that kind of frustration when you can simply download a series and watch it at your leisure? If you feel guilty about doing that, just delete the files when you're done, problem solved. What I always do is try to find episodes that were taped off the television 'cause as far as I'm concerned, that's the same as if I'd taped it myself. No harm, no foul.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Smile: The fact that it is Friday is enough to make me smile. Also, we were supposed to get some super storm, but all we got was a light rain which made for a perfect night of sleep.
My honey-do list is also all up to date, so I should have time to goof off this weekend.
Concerned, but Smiling for Now: Went to the bank to withdraw some petty cash, and there was over an extra $2,500usd in my savings account. At any given point of time, on any day, I know exactly how much is in my account down to the cent.
So I'll have to do the right thing and call the bank later today and review recent transactions (I don't do online banking because I'm a worry wort). If for some reason the cash fairy paid me a visit, I'm going on holiday.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I would do both actually. Go online to review the list before meeting your banker so you have some idea of what the transaction might be, but then consult with the bank in person to make sure everything is moving accordingly.Luke wrote:So I'll have to do the right thing and call the bank later today and review recent transactions (I don't do online banking because I'm a worry wort). Well, he could also use Netflix' direct delivery service to have the DVDs shipped to him. I use that because I know that things like this happen with streaming, and much more content is available to me. I lose the ability to watch things instantly I suppose, but rarely do I watch films or television shows fast enough where I need an instant fix that my personal collection (or public domain films on YouTube) won't take care of. No laws broken, and he still sees the show or movie.Retrodude wrote:I don't want to start another argument, but I feel I should point out that situations like that are the exact reason piracy is so rampant. I'm not set up for online banking. Yeah, I know it sounds dumb as any site can get hacked, but I don't want my financial status online. Period.Ack wrote: I would do both actually. Good advice though. Instead of calling the bank I'll meet in person during lunch. It will probably save time and would be an easier way to resolve any issue (I hope there isn't one).
It's not like finding 100K in your account, but I consider over $2,500 to be some pretty damned good scratch. A vacation, a curio cabinet, mortgage payment, new suit...that cash could be well spent.
Well, I'll know what's up shortly.
edit* Woo-hoo! The extra money is legally mine. Compounded interest from a mutual fund that should have been paid more than a year ago. Was a heavy investment/risk that I thought was in the tank.
Smile: Purchased a new game room chair (I'll also be posting this in "Luke's Room").
Love it.
Matches the art deco theme perfectly, plus it matches the Christmas green carpet. I have already forgotten the manufactures name, but I met with the owners at an antique shop and verified it was made in the early 1930's. The couple who owned the chair were pretty damned good hagglers as well. After my offer and also stating "This has been here for years and takes up too much space. I'm doing you a favor by taking it off your floor space". Their response was "The older it sits, the older it gets, and we're in the business of selling old things".
Touche'. But I got it at a little bit over half the asking price, so I'm happy.
Sucker is comfy as all get out, and besides a few dings, looks brand spanking new.

Will you start giving haircuts too? Seems fitting.

Took the day off work and got much of the remaining tiling done. Unfortunately it's a tad bit humid and i'm hesitant to do too much until the others are "set". I should finish the tiling (except around the shower) tomorrow - prob about 4 good hours left.
