Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Added yet another GBA to my pile. It's a color I don't have, so that was my incentive on pulling the trigger. lol Silver GBA for $5.50 at Goodwill

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
After last week's success I was looking forward to a local thrift shop tour. On my last stop today I found D2 for the Dreamcast complete and in great condition for $1.95.
Was almost leaving when I saw a CD spine reading Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for Playstation, and for some reason decided to have a peak. It didn't have a front cover and inside was Tomba! 2. Also for $1.95. The disc is fairly beat, but I brought it home and so far it has played fine in my PS2, which sometimes was touchy about reading PS1 disks.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
An interesting flirtation with retail game shopping for me tonight. Let me start by saying that the only games I believe I have ever bought new are Mario Kart for the DS, Evil Dead for the PS2 and Goldeneye for the Wii. There might be a few more but I can't remember. This is mostly because I only like old games and usually don't get into current gen stuff. I have however recently been enjoying my 3DS so I thought that tonight, when I go to buy groceries, I would go to the scummy centre which includes a Target. I was not expecting to find anything at any sort of reasonable price, comparing them as I would be to second hand prices. I was dead wrong.
I found the 3DS Tekken with a whole pile of shrinking price tags on its face. Ultimate retail sale price? $14.00! Holy hell, the cheapest ebay copy was more than that! I haven't even seen the game in a pawn shop yet! Rad. I called my friend who has just aquired the 3DSXL and hooked up a copy for him too. While on the phone I found a copy of Street Fight 4 3D for $14.00 as well! I snagged that for him as well since I already have one, having bought it second hand for $15.00 with no instructions not long ago (fool I am).
So yeah, occasionally the big box retailers present one with the goods. I'll be checking every Target I see now, mostly to see if any of them are flogging off DS lites for cheap.
My night of interesting retail shopping continued too. I thought that there was no longer such thing as Vanilla Coke in a can. Once again, dead wrong. At the same shopping centre I found a vending machine with it! I had to pay $1.80 to find this out (the vending machine was not transparent) but the upside is that I can sleep well at night now (unless I drink the can before bed) knowing that it does exist.

Interesting find. I've been seeing this trend a lot as well. I've been wanting to pick up a 3DS, and then of course the announcement of the 3DS XL came. Now I'm worried that this might be a doomed console with the way prices are falling on software. I'm still gonna buy one, but I gotta time it just right to get it brand new for the least amount possible. I was holding out for a Zelda limited edition (ala the standard 3DS) but that doesn't seem in the cards. I suppose there is no harm in stockpiling some good priced games? Good find, and good looking out!
