But he thinks that just because the economy's in the crapper, I should aim low and just hope to get at most half of what I'm asking. And after that, I still have tons of stuff to sell (I estimate about $200 worth of stuff, so by my brother's logic I should expect to get about $75 for it all).
The economy is no longer terrible, and - even if it were - the price of vintage video games is at an all time high. Moreover, given your family's situation, I do not think that you should look to any of them for financial advice, and you should not allow them to bully you into selling your items for a fraction of their fair market value.

Please, please, as soon as possible: (1) sell your games; (2) save up your money (3) move out (to New York or anywhere else); (4) leave your family behind; and (5) do something with your life. Your writing and interests indicate that you are an intelligent young man, but your family is really, really dragging you down. As far as I can tell, you all live hand-to-mouth and one step away from the streets. You can do a lot better than that if you are disciplined and set your mind to escaping, and if nothing else, the members of this forum - myself included - are always here to offer advice and set you on the right track.

And buy your games.

Don't forget that part.

Every time we get a REPO-update, this is what goes through my head... :|

 My "mother" just stopped sending my eldest brother funds. He has no place to go, and no way to make it on his own. Same shit she pulled on me. Why? Because he wanted to come test the waters in Houston and actually get to know me. Fuck her.

:? I've agreed to house him until he can find a job. This might be a bad idea, but I can't just leave him like that. Trying to work him in our budget for the first two months is going to be difficult.

:) Weekend starts now. Lots of games planned for the next two days.

Smile: To make it easier for people to keep track of what I'm working on (if anyone cares), I set up a website for my production company: lugofilm.webstarts.com.

Also, as of yesterday, production on my first film has officially begun! Since I'm adapting a five-panel comic strip, my plan is to do one strip a day, one panel at a time. Of course, that rule isn't set in stone and if I'm really on a roll on a particular day, I may do more. Stay tuned!
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Yup.

Repo, the games aren't your brother's to sell. Sell them here, now. If you are waiting for a perfect time to move, it will never happen. Anticipate, don't procrastinate. Act asap and get your behind to NYC or somewhere else.

I think the majority of the forum would agree that you're just digging the hole you are in deeper and deeper with every passing day.

Frown: It's difficult to find a nice pair of dress socks that don't go up to my mid-thigh like hockey socks. I know, I know "Gold toes are great, comfortable, and reasonably priced" but they are also pretty boring. Not that I need my socks to seek out adventures, but I do like a bit of argyle and accents.

Yup. I just complained about dress socks.

We've also been telling you this pretty much every day since you've moved. Now that you have a job, save every paycheck - don't spend any of it - and scrape enough together to get to NYC or anywhere else (Greyhound is cheap!) where you can start to make your own choices. Live in a hostel for a while if you need to before finding a job, seek public assistance for housing/etc. until you get on your feet, enroll in a school with dorms and take out federal loans - just do something to get yourself into a new situation where you can start to improve your own station in life. At your age you shouldn't feel guilty about leaving your family to strike out on your own, they should feel guilty for imposing their shitty situation on you and wrapping you into it.
