What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations

Finished soul eater!

Maka Punching that keishan in the face was pure amazing.

Also got to the third episode of The World God Only Knows second season.

Watching Gundam SEED for the first time... I've seen every Gundam related anime up to this point (with the exception of some recap movies), and I haven't really liked anything very much after the first few, so I'll see how this goes.

Found it to be a pretty good show but didn't care much for its sequel Gundam Seed Destiny. The ending of Destiny was especially disappointing and the "plus" Version of the Final episode while nice left me with very mixed feelings since I watched it right after the final episode. 70% of the "plus" version of the final episode is exactly the same, maybe 20% is additional story(including a short afterwards scene) + scenes that got cut, and the other 10% is modified/alternate scenes which I had mixed feelings about. If you do end up watching Destiny I suggest just watching the final plus episode instead of the original last episode.

I've been out of the anime loop for awhile, maybe someone can suggest something for me ...

Some of my previous favorites are Akira, 8-Man After, Iria, Vampire Princess Miyu OAV, Outlaw Star, Angel Cop, and Demon City Shinjuku.

I've seen lots of other stuff besides those, I'm kinda looking for more hidden shows or just plain forgotten (i.e. not Cowboy Bebop) If anyone thinks something might be up my alley considering those, I'd like to hear about it.

I'd recommend everything Discotek Media has put out? They've pretty much become the saviors of fans of older titles.
Also check out the columns Buried Treasure and The Pile of Shame on Anime News Network. In each column this guy reviews titles that are usually pretty far on the obscure side.

The Anime World Order Podcast is also a good source of reviews from the perspective of people with older tastes.

The World God Only Knows is a good romance one that had lots if gaming referenced.

Dare I say it, I've been watching Aku no Hana and loved it from the start. I'm a fan of the manga as well.

Aku no Hana is the only thing that I've been able to get behind this season. It's very interesting for a variety of reasons, although at times can be torturously stressful to watch

Sorry, SamuraiMegas, I'm not into romance anime. Maybe it's because of all the awkward Japanese screaming girls (As in girls who were white and screamed things in Japanese at people ... or something that sounded like Japanese) when I was in high school who liked that junk ... geez, they were annoying!
