What the fuck. Head up his ass. Head totally up his own ass.
I highly suspect that all that time spent 'getting the color right' was really him searching for the perfect pictures of boobs with electric tape Xs on them and enjoying whatever else he found.

I tinker with photoshop and gimp, and I can draw pretty well, but I have no formal classroom training in art. (aside from a stupid art class in 7th grade that I failed because of an overly opinionated teacher) That flyer looks like crap. At the risk of sounding pompous here, I could come up with something better and more relevant than that in less than a day.
I'm here for your body.

I agree with you on all points.

Other than that bullshit, I can't share that flyer on facebook. My aunts, uncles, younger cousins and religious friends would be offended by that.

Oh, dear God, no. Just no. I don't know what your friend is thinking, other than maybe what KitKatCara said (boobs). What do either of those images have to do with your band? What is the purpose of the saying at the bottom and how does it relate to your group? Why use those colors? Explain font choices. If he can't do any of that succinctly than he has no business making you a flyer ever again. None of my professors would have approved that and if he has any decent ones I don't think they would either.

I agree with jinx, with a little polish yours would be much better. In the interest of cultivating your artistic side, I'll make a couple of suggestions so you can put your SFW flyer on your facebook page with pride. The colors look good (red and yellow are always very striking), but you might want to look for a less squatty font. The typeface in Gypsy is very long and it's clashing a bit too much. In Photoshop you can highlight the text, then go over to the Character panel and highlight the type name (double click) and then scroll through the font choices with the arrow keys. It should (at least it does for me) show up on your work plane. You also might want to shrink the Gypsy logo a little bit so you can move the fonts up so that they're not covering that one guys head. This will also give you some room to move the Fast and Love image to the center (or you could just replace it with a font). Everything else (other than the skull logo) is centered and it would be more cohesive to have it centered as well.

Then smack your friend on the back of the head for us and say "Shuddup" if he says anything when he sees your flyer on facebook.

Smile: Finally had a chance to show my niece Superman The Movie. I'm hoping to take her with me to see Man Of Steel and I wanted her to see the original first. No matter how many times I see that film, it never gets old. Here's hoping the new one lives up to it.

The Reeve Superman has a lot of really hokey stuff in it, especially watching it nowadays. It's got a lot of charm though. I felt like a little kid when I finally saw it for the first time, and that was honestly only a few years ago.

Reeve totally nails the Clark/Superman dynamic. I could legitimately believe they were two different people.

IV for me is an awesomely awful movie. The Superman museum and the Lightning Bolt Dude had a spot on comic book feel of the DC era at the time. Terrible movie, but I enjoyed it.

III isn't good. I'll leave it at that.

II, despite the krypto kite, was my fave.

Ever see the Richard Donner Cut?

I've never bothered watching III and IV. Never have heard anything good.

Skip III and IV and watch Superman Returns instead, it's much better (SR was intended to replace the last two films and essentially be a do-over of Superman III).

Edit: I know what you're gonna say, Luke (or at least, I suspect it). Here, watch this:

Four is funny. The hair holding up a bowling ball (or heavy weight) is superb. And the fingernail/bugles on fingers stuff still makes me laugh like a man possessed. It's goofy the entire way through.

:D Went to the comic book store. Traded in a bunch of comics. I had less than last time, but ended up getting $30 in store credit. I already had $8.01 in store credit, so I used that and the store credit I got today to buy the second Scott Pilgrim graphic novel, The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles Volume 1 and PvP Volume 2 (it was marked down to $4, but it was 50% off, so it was only $2). I still have $4.03 in store credit left.
