Nice score, Exed.

I was messing around earlier trying to find the advantage of stunning enemies and then throwing them...that is the way to chain, much easier, as every enemy they touch, keeps that particular chain going. I had a 58 chain earlier today, but died out on 2nd stage getting too aggressive.

I only use version 0.141, from the tail end of 2010. It was the final build before they added the mechanical/pinball ROMs which bloated the overall core so much that it made the startup loading time much longer. If I need to play something on the latest and the greatest version because it doesn't work well or at all in 0.141 I'll use the IV/Play frontend (available at http://www.mameui.info) with the newest build.

Absolutely correct. As long as the stunned enemy you were using is still on screen, it counts towards the chain. One run, I managed to stun the stage 2 pumpkin miniboss. That was a trip, the large size certainly helps to build a healthy chain.

OK, what's going on at the end of Stage 1 here?

(It's about two minutes in.)

You mean, other than awesomeness?

Seriously though, WTF, that was nuts - his whole run is nuts. Like I said, this game has scoring up the wazoo if you can figure it all out.

Holy Ferdinand, the scoring in this game is fantastic!

I did a few runs, and didn't really come away with anything special, but I'll put myself on the board.

pierrot - 681,500 - stage 2 - 37 chain / 27 hit - Appli2/Appli1/Silk - Saturn

alright,

noiseredux - 876,000 - Stage 3 - chain? - Needle/Appli3/? - Saturn

(I don't see chain/hit on the scoreboard?)

Anyway, just playing for survival now. I haven't figured out chaining yet. There's a lot going on at once and I'm still confused. The bullets are big, and the sprites are big, and I'm not comfortable with hitboxes yet.

Hitbox comfort will come - not as precise as the current gen stuff, but you'll figure it out - it is big. If you dived your character into 3rds (head/body/legs) it's the entire body, lower half of head, upper half of legs - it's a large area to protect.

Chain/hit will show after the top 20, so it does 11-20, then 1-10, then max hit/chain, just have to wait for it.

Is it only possible to revive a character during the 'Tea Time' bonus section? I have a feeling that I may have done it during a stage once, but I might have misremembered that.
