80 Game Genesis PlugnPlay - $20.00 Swap Meet
Surprised by the price, the vendor actually had four on display. These average fifty bucks at most retailers. Some do not like the Genesis PlugnPlays due to reputation of poor emulation. At twenty bucks with cart slot, decided to check it out. Made by AT Games who also built the latest Atari 2600 Flashbacks, the emulation really isn't that bad. I found the games quite playable with decent sounds and sharp graphics displayed on the big screen. Discovered some nice games inside, verified Genesis carts worked fine and posted a review. :D

Genesis PlugnPlay Review - http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15#p758615

Genesis Red Zone - $4.99 shipped Ebay
Somewhat unknown game, a Helicopter game with both SHMUP and Strategy built in. The overhead scrolling affect while flying is impressive. A different take on the helicopter flying games of the day and exclusive to only the Genesis.

Genesis Gunstar Heroes - $22.99 shipped EBay
A bit pricey, but not bad compared to most of the sales listings. Oh, I had to get this game for a couple of reasons. Metal Slug style gameplay upped with insane rapid fire and the very first game released by Treasure. Not CIB, just the cart, but still a nice collectable that is very fun to play.

Xbox Atari Anthology - Birthday Present
From my daughter who knows I love older Arcade games. Already own Atari Compilations on the Dreamcast, PS1 and PS2, but this version can kick the Vector emulated screens all the way up to 1080i on my HDCRT! Okay now this is getting close to Vector perfection for Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Gravitar, Lunar Lander, Major Havoc, Red Baron, Space Duel, and Tempest. I already verified some play beautiful with a Trakball and Spinner adapted with the SmartJoy Frag. I need to pick up a PSX to Xbox controller adapter to try out Black Widow and Battle Zone with my Blaze Twinstick. It worked great for the PS2 renditions, but oooh that color Vector game emulated in 1080i resolution played correctly with an Arcade Twinstick!

Xbox Battlestar Galactica - $5.00 BookOff
Another game that I already own in the PS2. Okay the show was cheesy, but the game is done well by the same coders who put out the Star Lancer game on the Dreamcast. I bought this for the advertised custom soundtrack capability, so I can kick up my installed Inferno Soundtrack. It is a perfect set of Space Mood "Top Gun" music from an old DOS Space Sim game. Heck, there is even a good guy and a bad guy set of tracks, I'll throw the evil music when I get to fly the Cylon ship. Now if I can figure out how to enable the custom music, maybe an unlock later on the game?

There was also a second reason why I bought Xbox Battlestar Galactica. As in getting PSX to Xbox controller adapters for the Blaze Twinstick, I suspect this game will work beautiful with the huge PS1 Flightstick! The PS1 only had a limited library of less then 30 games that worked with it and the PS2 only has one game with analog PS1 Flightstick support. However, every single game on the Gamecube works with the PS1 Flightstick via a PSX controller adapter, so maybe might get the same luck on the Xbox?

PS2 Sub Rebellion - 0.99 Cents PressPlay
Still CIB at less then a buck! A Flight Sub Sim underwater "flying" style of game. The controls are tight though turning the sub is slow. Hey, I like it as if really trying to move the "tank" underwater and locking on targets. Dodge enemy missiles by ballasting up or down quickly. I was really surprised on the quality of this game, a mandatory PS2 Fat Hard Drive install once a patch becomes available.

Xbox Stubbs The Zombie - Birthday Present
Another present from my daughter. She didn't know I was looking for this, was surprised I knew about it. Think of the setting in old Disney Tommorowland with 50s hover cars as in the movie Back To The Future. A different perspective, play as the Zombie eating brains. The best part so far is flying the Hover Jeep and blowing up people in the distance. The effect is wild, some of the bodies come flying at you and over your vehicle. :D

Xbox Yager - $5.00 BookOff
In my main emphasis of getting exclusive to only Xbox in console releases and my love of Flight Sims, I had to check this one out. Similar in play to Crimson Skies, but throw in a more modern jet with instant hover capability. Nice! A great effect stopping on a dime, take out enemy base installations and then fly away.

Funkeys Lotus and Bones - $1.00 Each Swap Meet
Two more Funkeys for my growing collection, I'll update the Guide as I unlock a few more games. These work similar to the Skylanders series in opening up new features of a game.

@ mjmjr25 - Have you tried the game itself yet? I have been so wrapped up in all my latest purchases, I have yet to continue "modding" the software in Funkeys.

Genesis Interact High Frequency GamePad -$4.99 PressPlay
All the action buttons can be individually set to rapid fire. They also can each be set continuous auto fire which does not require holding the fire button. Unfortunately, it does not quite work 100% with the 80 game Genesis, The C button acts as Start and C Button combined. Unsure if a bad controller, I suspect it is just not fully compatible with the 80 game Genisis PlugnPlay? I really wanted Rapid Fire for built in Vectorman series.

Xbox Magazine Disc 39 - $4.25 shipped Ebay
Make that priceless to at least play a Rare game. No not the squirrel, I already have Xbox Conker. Nice to get the demo for not one, but two great games! Okay so they are just a demo playable level of the full game, but the hidden bonus game was never released to the US. Probably because the US President is busy destroying the city with guns and missiles, killing people in the process. Thanks to elmagicochrisg for making me aware of this game.

<Metal Wolf Chaos>
President of the United States kicking ass in a Mech. If you like action games with super cheesy over the top funny dialogue, then this is for you. Just watch a few trailers on YouTube. You'll understand soon enough...
The import is outrageously expensive so after I discovered on Wiki that a piece of the game was available cheap and can be played on an unmodded Xbox I had to see for myself. Sure enough its buried in the disc thru an unlock so it would not have been pulled from being released.

XBOX DEMO DISC 39 METAL WOLF CHAOS UNLOCK CODE
Hold Left Trigger + Left, X, Y, Up, A, Y, B, Up, Down, Down, Y, Right, Right, Right, Back

You know the Cheat Code Entry is going well. As each button is pressed, the controller vibration increases! All cheats should use this novel feature.

Just a small level of mahem and destruction. I have not had this much fun destroying buildings since the Dreamcast Alien Front city level. Love the effect of blowing up all the neon signs and seeing shards of glass raining down as heavy as a snowstorm. This game really should have gotten a US cut, even if it meant taking out the story of the President driving the Mech. A great destroy everything in your bad ass mech with mancave explosions everywhere. Seriously get the Xbox Magazine disc, even the short demo is worth a repeat play.

Gunstar was released first, but they made McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure first. </uselesstrivia>

Thanks. My wife and the Ram would kill me if I attempted that.

And thanks for pointing out that game, one day hopefully this decade I'll find one that is not too expensive. If there is one game that justifies modding the Xbox, it would Metal Wolf Chaos.

Paid about $20 for these C64 games - Sea Wolf, Super Huey II, Five-A-Side Soccer, Bop'n Wrestle, Top Gunner Collection, Speed/Bingo Math, Tooth Invaders.

Five-A-Side Soccer was actually still sealed, but I opened it to play it (opening a game like this only devalues it by a dollar or two).

@CRT - installed the Funkey's game and my 10 and 7 yo's played a bit, I just watched. We NEVER pc game, so it was a new experience for them. They enjoyed the interactive bit for sure - but still prefer the skylanders.

I didn't know those GEN emulator deals actually supported legit GEN carts, good to know and yeah, at $20, a good buy.

Here's a shot of my most recent finds over the past 2 1/2 weeks. The prices have been superb on all accounts and the items are as follows: Sam & Max Hit the road CIB for a couple bucks, CyberJudas sealed for a similar price point, NES cleaning kit CIB as marked, Fruits Basket complete box set for 5 bucks, Are you being served? complete box set for 5.99, Spyro Year of the Dragon loose for 3 ish, and Start the Party/ Sports Champions for 0.50 each. I hit up a bunch of stores to amass this set but I was pretty darn pleased with it. Especially, "Are you being served?" since its one of my favorite shows and retails for a pretty penny on the open market.

That said, some of this will be going on my sellers post on here when I make it so if you like anything game related let me know!

I got one of those as a Christmas gift, and despite the criticism of the emulation, I like the console. Its small and light enough I can toss it in a bag when traveling. Plus IIRC, it's the only legal way to play Golden Axe III outside of importing from Japan.

Its a problem with the AtGames clone console, not the controller. I had the same issue with mine. I eventually figured out that the problem is the controller ports on the clone console weren't manufactured with quite the same tolerance as the original Genesis consoles. As a result, the controller plugs can hang loosely and have intermittent contact with one or more pins.
