Finally happened. Someone here managed to spoil the ending of Bioshock Infinite without using a spoiler tag.
Fucking hell.

I'm confused as to how epistemological relativism can be tenable (or useful) at all.
Correct me if I'm wrong. By "epistemological relativism," you mean "Truth depends on the perception of those determining it."
If that's so, we lose the law of non-contradiction and the law of causality. If your perception determines your reality, then you're the one who determines that your mother exists. But didn't your parents have to conceive you before you could perceive them? What about your earlier ancestors?

I think I just need to grow it out more, or work on how it is cut. Growing it out and combing it will make it, ideally, to were just the ends curl. Currently, my hair looks pretty close to this, although wind and the occasional sweat really throw it off. And many times, it doesn't want to cooperate.foxhound1022 wrote:I'm in exactly the same boat. My hair gets so long, then just grows outward. All frizzy, curly, and just absolutely unruly.Hobie-wan wrote: If I let my hair grow, it goes through a long period of being wavy and shitty until it finally turns into a white boy afro. I last got that far in high school though. I lucked out and have a good shaped head for short/no hair. Does short hair suit you?

I mostly keep mine in, and it works for me. Acting on my feelings, like I used to, led to me being overly aggressive and angry pretty commonly. I got over that, and besides the occasional downer funk, I'm pretty good now.Valkyrie-Favor wrote: I'm tired of people telling me not to hold my feelings in and that's not healthy. It's completely healthy! If I acted on all my feelings everyone would hate me and I'd be in jail. I think that's true for everyone. It's one thing to struggle by yourself and it's quite another to be mocked for it.

I agree, but in epistemological relativism (not dsheinem's, the kind described by dictionaries and textbooks), the territory is created by the map. Where the hell did the map come from?J T wrote:

A student used the phrase "call of duty" in a paper today. Methinks he was playing a bit too much Call of Duty and not enough time writing a paper.

You still have to travel that journey yourself to truly experience the awesomeness.Luke wrote:Finally happened. Someone here managed to spoil the ending of Bioshock Infinite without using a spoiler tag.

^I'll get around to it.
Not trying to be profound, but every once in a while you should reflect on the world that surrounds you. Life might seem mundane at times, but it is pretty amazing how society as a whole and group thinking changes things.
It's become quite apparent to me that we live in a culture addicted to hype. Hasn't always been like that. Not everyone, but most people have turned into shoot from the hip gunslingers that care more about hype than what comes from the hype, be it a product or person. People judge things as "good" or "bad" in the time it takes you to snap your fingers.
It wasn't the announcement of the xbone that made me realize this, but it sure did reinforce it. If an online forum existed in 1989 when the SNES was announced, not sure if there would be a single complaint. People judge a movie that lasts two hours on a thirty second trailer.
Hasn't always been this way. I might come off as arrogant, but I promise I give everything a fair shake. Eh, it's just the older I get, the more sense of entitlement people seem to have, especially kids, and I can't stand it.
Anywho......
Ran out of antiperspirant, so I used my wife's dove deodorant. I've never felt so baby powder fresh (in a bad way).
Shut up. You've used women's deodorant in a pinch too.
