I loved the original and pretty much anything Suda 51 does. I wonder if it will use wii motion+.

Wow, that looks pretty awesome. I like Travis's self referential shirt (Travis Strikes Again). Although I wonder how in gods name they'll set up the story for the sequel, what with the ending of the first being so... different...

Well not trying to spoil it for anyone who has not beaten the game but if you remember two important people were running down a highway and Travis said that only one could get off the "Exit known as Paradise"(AKA only one can live and the latter will die). Probably Travis survives and the story takes off from there.

I liked the original but the game didn't feel finished. The I really never knew what I was doing when it came to defending myself. I would mash the A button and hope for the best and sometimes I would dodge and an exclamation mark would appear over the opponent's head and I would start going berserk. I still don't know how to trigger that. I also wish you could just kill people whenever you want. I feel it tried to be a sandbox game but instead the over world just served as a way to get from point A to point B. The motorbike was glitchy too and a lot of times I would get stuck or crash by colliding into an invisible wall.

Other than those few complaints I will probably buy this game hoping that the combat system is improved. I loved the story and everything don't get me wrong it's just those technical issues that didn't really leave me completely satisfied.

The dodging was based on pressing left or right just before being hit. The driving (or is that riding?) did have its problems, but I got used to it quickly. Just stay way from walls and stick to the roads. And I never really thought it was trying to be sandbox game, to me it was more Zelda-like with a smaller overworld. I think GTA fans wanted it to be a sandbox game for the wii and it really wasn't.

As for the story SPOILERS don't forget about a certain daughter END SPOILERS

MY SPLEEN!!!!!!!!

Definately my favorite line from that game. But the dodging, yeah, I didn't really pick up on how to do that well until near the end of the game. And it wasn't consistent until the last fight. But boy was it necessary for the last fight.

And I do agree, the bike did feel somewhat tacked on. But overall, a lot of fun, and a bizzare yet awesome sense of humor in that game.

I think that the over world was intentionally empty and sedate, as an artistic contrast to the brutal missions and boss fights and I dont think it should be changed, other than getting rid of the bugs obviously.

I did feel that towards the end of the game the daily grind became unbalanced slightly, with more and more grind required to get the entry fee and latest katana upgrades, and shorter and shorter boss missions. The haunted forest was just looking like it was going to be an epic challenge leading up to the main boss - and it was cut off.

The combat did feel totally random at first, but I did eventually get the hang of when to mash A and when to execute a controlled attack. I think the sequel should show a greater visual difference between the high and low stances as well.

Despite all these moans I NMH is my favourite game ever, I cant think of another story or set of characters that has got me so involved before and nor can I think of a game with so much style and creativity, the pinnacle being Letz Shake, a moment of pure genius.

I'm chuffed that the sequel looks like it might happen and I'll be getting it no matter what

I simultaneously loved and hated the first one. It did so many things right, that every flaw made me cringe. Even so, the second game is a must-buy for me. Day one even!

I hated the over-world in the first game, it was bland, pop-in was atrocious, clipping issues aplenty and it was all defended in the name of being a commentary on video games itself. Total bullshit.

The motorcycle had unpredictable response. You could control it well enough if you stayed in mostly straight lines, and didn't try anything fancy - I never could get the hang of much of it. I got the thing stuck about a dozen times throughout the game.

The combat was fun despite being repetitive, but earning enough money to get all of the beam katanas (a must to see the actual ending) was tedious. If it was more varied, the JRPG-like grind would have been more forgiving. The enemies were fodder, while the bosses provided actual challenge... more mini-bosses would have also made grinding feel like less of a chore.

Despite all of this, the first game is a must-buy for any fan of action games. Much more accessible than Killer7, and the second one should only improve on the first.
