OK...if we are posting pictures of our children...here is a picture of my 4-year-old daughter - and baby Tiana - looking outrageous as usual:
My wife and I did our best to discourage the "princess" thing, but this is just who she is...Seriously, she dresses like this every day, and Tiana is only one of four Disney princess babies in her "collection".
I would agree, prfl gmr, the Princess Syndrome is nature. Neither my wife or I are princessy and if one of us were, it would be more before my wife. That said, we felt we had to buy a few girly / princessy things for our first daughter - she had zero interest and now as a 10yo wears t-shirts and ripped jeans. She was invited to a princess tea party for her 7yo cousin this week and was upset that she was supposed to bring a doll.
However, our 3yo, who we've put zero girly ideas into her head - is an absolute princess, just naturally picked up themes from Disney movies and all she wants at Target is princess toys and clothes. She was also invited to the Tea Party and could not decided which of her dollies would get to wear matching outfits.
