I can relate. My mom's also in her mid-sixties and while she's still reasonably healthy and self sufficient, she needs someone here to help out. One sister's in Raleigh so she can't do it, the other sister's here but she won't do it, so it's up to me and I accept the responsibility happily.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

:D We found a 4-bedroom apartment nearby for only $917 (that's what I overheard from my brother) a month. Even split four ways, that's $229.25 a month for me, my mom, my brother and his girlfriend, which averages out to be $57.32 a week. So possibly with utilities, it'll cost the four of us (don't know if grandma would pay rent, since she's on a fixed income) about $100-125 a week, which ironically is also what it would cost me to rent a room in New York City if I look for rooms for rent for under $500.

 Our water was shut off and we can't figure out why yet.

Thanks. My Mom is a weenie, and my gut tells me she is afraid of having a more invasive surgery. Some people, like me, are "Tear whatever out, plug whatever in, just fix it!" where my Mother is more *sees blood, passes out*.

Good on you.

Financially, my 'rents are set for life so paying for any surgery isn't even in the equation. I'm concerned that they aren't seeking the best cardiologists available. When my Grandfather had heart issues....ZOOM! to the Mayo Clinic. When my Mother has heart issues...ZOOM! to Catawba County Hospital?

Not knocking CCH, but it sure as fu-- isn't the Mayo Clinic.

Ticked - spent the entire morning with a commercial jingle stuck in my head and not being able to figure out what it is because I couldnt remember the words.

Smiled - figure out it was for Pocket Power toys and that there is a guy who has an almost complete collection and has a site about them:
http://www.pocketpowertoys.com/
I had the helicopter and always wanted the motorcycle, top, and racecar. And now I might buy them. They, like Megaforce and Flipsiders, are simply random obscure toys from my childhood.

Turns out we never paid the bill, and we owe them for two months plus a deposit we never paid. We never got any bills in the mail or anything from them for that matter. Not even a phone call or email.

But we did get half of our deposit back from Vista Del Lago today (we get the other half when we move out), but we gotta go to Wells Fargo to cash it. And the nearest Wells Fargo location? In Kissimmee....

:D Next to the comic book store. I hope I get to go there since I've got more comics to trade in, along with a remaining $8.01 in store credit. I figure what store credit I've got and what store credit I'll get is about more than enough to get the second volume of the Scott Pilgrim series, and possibly even enough to get the third.

Ticked: My official SNES power cord which I ordered a week ago is still in "transit" to the post office while the five other items I ordered at the same time have already arrived :P. Didn't even notice till now but the guy boasted that the item shipped "priority" in his amazon description for the item :P. Whats the point in offering priority shipping if you hold onto the item for over a week without mailing it :P.

Happy: Sold my copies of Halo Reach and Skyrim on amazon almost instantly after listing them on amazon. Both were marked up to the point that I still got over my asking price from my Sale thread :).

Ticked: 14 days before I can actually get the funds from the sales :P. One of my main issues with Amazon :P. About as annoying as pending orders from buyers who won't pay or cancel :P.

Sad: My emoticon addiction is flaring up :P.

When your internet gets cutoff I am really going to miss these daily overviews of how your bills/accounts are looking.
