At currently 20 hours in, I can see why. 7th Saga is phenomenal. I am enjoying it immensely.

Finally beat Parasite Eve. I'm in the middle of quite a few other ones, but I'm trying to do one game at a time. Luckily about half of the games are almost finished.
Dragon Quest VIII
Dragon Warrior
DragonAge Origins... enough with all the dragons already!
Super Mario RPG
Persona 3
Demons Souls
3D Dot Game Heros

I just finished my New Years Resolution and now finished the Xenosaga Series. Xenosaga III was definantly better than Xenosaga II. My head is still somewhat swimming from it. I think I will play someting a bit more lighthearted for the next game.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Hell yeah Xenosaga III is incredible. Too bad many fans couldn't stick it out until that one.
I finally started up Tales of Graces F today, been wanting to hit up a newer Tales for a long time now. Beginning seems really slow, hopefully the kid stuff doesn't last haha. But yeah it seems pretty fun so far, liking the vibe, music, and everything.
Think I might consider Pandora's Tower (if that counts) or Star Ocean 4 next, gonna start focusing on more Wii/PS3 stuff for awhile.

Glad I am playing Fire Emblem Awakening without permanent death for my first run. First time I have ever played a Fire Emblem game. If permanent death were on I would be starting the same battles over and over. Well, depending on how quickly I learn from my mistakes. And that is just frustrating. Maybe if I like the game enough and do a second play through I will do permanent death.

Got stuck on Xenoblade, so I think I'm gonna just take a break from it.
Been thinking of trying out a handheld RPG, either GB, GBC or GBA.
Dragon Warrior 1 might be a decent play through, or maybe one of the pokemon games? Any recommendations guys? Probably won't go for something insanely long since I still have Xenoblade on deck for that.

My first Fire Emblem too. I started my first run with perma death, Lunatic difficulty. I don't recommend that AT ALL. I'm just kind of crazy like that, but I just want to say. Restarting when a character dies isn't really all that bad. You can hit the shoulder buttons + Select to soft reset and you can get back into the game quickly because loads times are almost non existent and you can hit start to skip all cut scenes and dialog. Plus, you can even fast forward through the battles or hit start to skip them, making it very easy to quickly get back to the point where your character died last time and try a different strategy. I LOVE how user friendly and convenient this game is.
