Anyone remember this game?

Post by MrPopo »

Back in grade school (~1994) I remember the school having this game where you try to survive in the ocean as a fish. If I recall there were two modes, one in which you start off small and if you do well you can turn into larger fish (or maybe unlock larger fish), and one in which you create a custom fish.

Is this ringing a bell for anyone?

That sounds almost exactly like fishy (minus the modes thing)

You've described Shark! Shark! on Intellivision. Although, it doesn't let you make your own custom fish.

This doesn't seem to be the same game, but it's similar and we used to play the hell out of this in my elementary school.

Had to be this one, I remember Odell Lake as being touted for schools. My bet was it was played on an Apple II, very common school computer back in the day.

Mmmm, no, the game I'm thinking of was at least 256 color, and we played it on Macs, not Apple IIs.

That might be it... if not, it was definitely inspired by that.

Oop, didn't notice the date you posted in the OP.

MAC - 1994 - 256 or Higher Color - OS9 or lower

There is a Wiki list of Mac OS games, I looked at a couple of the Fish titles but they did not seem like the game.
