Stand tall on the four pillars

Post by Gooseberrysoda »

does the title of this quest in the desert level of Mario 64 in any way correlate to a secret outside of the pipe to the final bowser? There are 4 pillars there that, as far as I can tell, serve no purpose other than decoration. Don't know if that's a common idea.

No, it doesn't. Its strictly referring to how to solve that particular star for the level.

The four pillars outside Bowser's pipe are indeed just decoration.

There is a 1-up stashed behind one of them though.
