It goes like this I make videos of me playing shmups really half assed. I've been posting every one I do in a shmups group every video gets at least one like from somebody. That Person being Rene Hellwig. I thought this was just a shmup super fan. This was until the other day I wrote a blog about how tired I was of every new Dreamcast game being a Shmup and that Gunlord was a welcome addition. It was then that I realized. This person who likes every single video I do and watches every last one of them as well being throughly amused by the fact the show is called "Shmup the fuck up" was half of NG Dev Team and Hu cast.

Sorta made my week.

This doesn't change the fact though, that I do not like Fast Striker. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Last Hope and Dux though.

Makes you realize these guys are human too! Also nice to see that even indie developers are still interested in public opinion and do pay attention to reviews etc...

Well what happend was I looked up NGdevteam and Hucast and his named kept popping up and that's when I put two and two together that this shump super fan who watches my videos was also the same guy that made Last Hope and others. He never read the article.

But I did play his games on my channel and plan to get them asap.

Many years ago I had a similar experience. I was posting on a board and someone would almost always ask me probing questions as responses. Back and forth we went many times. Turns out that the random Col. Playdough was actually Gary Gygax, a man who influenced me a great deal and became a friend.

That man was pure awesome, and a pleasure to talk to. He impacted so man lives and always seemed so humble about it.
