In any case, there is no way I'll be putting an internet connected camera in my house. That alone is a deal breaker.

If however this video was a turn off because you're a fan, then here's a guy that is all for the Xbox One. Feel free to reflect on his take on it.

No reason to apologize, glad to see a fresh face and a new voice to the discussion.

I wasn't a fan of the Xbox One reveal either, other than liking the name and it's appearance. I'm also one that thinks that they're waiting for E3 for the games to be presented, but I'm not of the camp that thinks that was a good idea. I'd be curious to hear what someone thought of the reveal that is positive on it though.

I'm right with you on that. I could buy into everything else MS is saying - an all-in-one home entertainment system? sure! why not? - but two things kill it for me. Xbox Live and Always-on Kinnect. Nope. I can't imagine that people would willingly let into their homes what every dictator would kill to have in their people's home.

I don't have any personal doubts that there will be great games for the system. The whole thing however seems like a move in the wrong direction for gamers... even consumers in general.

I'm one of those that likes to own physical copies of games. I understand that that is going away soon, it's just industry evolution. But the camera having to be connected, the console requiring connection, and the like are what are big turn offs for me. I already went through that kind of thing with Diablo III. Servers were down so I couldn't even play a one player game. Then we had a big snow storm and internet was down for a couple of days; again couldn't play. That was a major sticking point for me.

I cancelled direcTV and have no cable so I don't even watch TV unless it's netflix or local channels, so the whole all in one entertainment box is 100% lost on me.

I own a 360 and spend a good percentage of my play time on it. But just based on what we know about the One so far I'll be passing. Even if they end up having the best exclusive games in the world I'd just have to do without.

Hey you never know, maybe the Xbox One will bring North Korea to the six party talks and denuclearize the peninsula :)

One of my biggest problems with this whole thing is Xbox Live itself. Paying a fee to play multiplayer games is one thing (though I think multiplayer is vastly overrated, but anyway). But why on god's green earth would I pay to use services that I already pay for?

So I pay my ISP money every month. I pay Netflix/Hulu Plus every month. Can someone please explain to me why I would pay Microsoft a monthly fee to access these services as well??? Almost every electronic device I own can play Netflix/Hulu Plus content for FREE. Why does Microsoft think I would like to pay them for it again?

Xbox Live is like buying a Coca-Cola in an airport. Why is it twice as much as the gas station down the road? Do the stores at the airport not know what the prices are every where else in the WORLD?

Not only that but I think it's an insult to my intelligence that they would like me to PAY for the privilege of shoving advertising down my throat and data mining me and selling my information for profit. I understand that my purchasing and viewing habits might be worth money. But if that's true, maybe Microsoft should be paying me for my information.

What's funny though is that MS will actually try to convince you that their soda is somehow better and worth paying more for, whereas the airport is just shameless charging convenience fees.

Not sure why everyone so upset with the Xbox one , it seems like its exactly like the 360 except with advanced TV capabilities . As for online gameplay , I think that should be free . Its true that $60 a year is not much , but I am also not getting much for $60 a year . I still have to pay for the extra maps and online has been always free on PC so why not console.

I'd pay $60 a year if it includes Hulu, NetFlix , extra downloadable maps ... you get the idea.

but Xbox1 seems like its just as good as the ps4 , no one is upset about the ps4
