Very nice!ExedExes wrote:Sure does, plus some really good menu music! Not everything is there from the console ports, but Aspyr did a heck of a job emulating that menu. I also like that they put the games in alphabetical order too unlike the PC version. The game interface is much cleaner and easier to use too. Finally, a huge plus, high scores are saved to cartridge. That's a big deal for me, because I can run up huge scores on Crackpots and SeaquestBurningDoom wrote:Does the GBA version have the cool 80s living room menu?

Re: Games Acquired 2013
There's a GOW3 Special Edition with dog tags, a "statue", the game, and some other crap at GameStop for $50usd.
The box looks like crap, and the trade in value for the game is $2.50usd. Trying to figure out how to tell my friend he should return it other than by saying "IDIOT!".

Re: Games Acquired 2013
May Update!:
Previous months:
January: £21.30 - 5 games
February: £2.09 - 2 games
March: £34.57 - 10 games
April: £69.89 - 9 games
Consoles - 1 - £290
May
To The Moon PC - £2.63
Ice Climber Wii U VC - 99p
Super Metroid Wii U VC - 30p
Super Mario World Wii U VC - £1.49
Tomb Raider PS1 - £1.50
Mario Party 8 Wii - £1
Sonic & The Secret Rings Wii - £1
WarioWare: Smooth Moves Wii - £3
Kirby Superstar Wii U VC - £1.49
Total: £13.40 - 9 games
A slightly deceptive month quantity wise. Ice Climber, Super Mario World and Kirby Superstar were all 'upgrades' from the Wii VC versions I already own. It's a bit of a rip-off that they're charging the fee imo, but for 60hz and gamepad play it's worth it to me. Super Metroid was the 30p game for the month (and also another upgraded game for me).
To The Moon was a cheap download from GOG - it actually cost $4, so my price in £ is a rough estimate. Tomb Raider, Sonic and Mario Party were cheap boot fair aquisitions, and I found WarioWare in a second hand shop for £3 too, s jumped on that too.
Despite getting 9 new games this month, it's not done a whole lot of damage to my backlog. I'd already beaten the 4 VC games before, as well as WarioWare, and To The Moon I've already beaten, meaning only 3 of them still need finished. Not too bad.
So much for my 3 games a month resolution. These digital sales are ruining me >_<

I called my local GS and they have plenty in stocky (keeping the baby-talk typo).
Maybe I should pick one up, and run out the door with it.
If only you could trade in your old copies of gameinformer. I'd take a dime for each.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
You know, sometimes I'd feel a little anxious about all the games I got and the money I spent on them. Still do, sometimes. Do I really need another RPG when I have so many I haven't gotten to yet (the answer to that is of course I do.)
But I take a look in this thread and see what some of the rest of you are getting and I don't feel so bad anymore.
Carry on.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
With all of these freaking sales going on I've literally picked up about, oh, 65 games in the past week for just over 20$ USD.
Alan Wake + sequel
Oddworld: Abes Odyssey, exodus, munch's Odyssey
All of the Genesis classics packs
And 11 sonic games.
All of these things that I've been meaning to get for PC for a while now, and out of nowhere, BAM! Amazon.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
This was an interesting month for several reasons. For one, I got rid of two consoles: The N64 and all the titles I had for its library and an Xbox 360 fat. I also purged my collection of a lot of titles that no longer interested me or that I had/planned to get in another format. On the other hand, I spent a good deal -I picked up an Xbox 360 slim and a library of games with it, many of which were dupes of games I already had. The result of these two deals was that I was able to upgrade one console (and make some profit at the same time) as well as purge my collection of a lot of titles that I didn't want. In the end I spent about $400 this month but made about $1100, bringing my yearly totals down to a much more manageable figure and closer to where I want to be.
So...as a result of all this, I've tried to update my stats below with a few more categories to get a better sense of what's happening with my collection and what it is costing me to change it up as I have. I am just going to let the values of consoles "balance each other out" and ignore them in terms of calculating per game averages. Only those of you who care about stats will care about this, of course.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
2013 will probably be more of slimming down what I'll never play again, and playing through what I already have. I am okay with that though.
January: $49
February: $91.95
March: $139
April: $151
May:
Final Fantasy XI: Seekers Collection (Xbox 360) Nostalgia wore off incredibly fast on this one, traded it back to Amazon.
Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360)
Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
Journey Collector's Edition (PS3)
3D Dot Game Heroes (PS3)
Final Fantasy IX (PSX)
Pinbot (NES)
Super Spike V'Ball/Nintendo World Cup (NES)
Went pretty light on this month, which was fine. I spent $15 on Final Fantasy IX, and everything else, I had gift card balances for Amazon from using Bing Rewards, and some Power Up Rewards coupons that netted me the rest. Good month.
This year so far, I've sold items from my existing collection totalling $360.01, and spent $435.95, so in total my hobby over these past five months really has only cost me $76.
